Job Summary
Aptiv is seeking a Technical Lead QNX Engineer to help shape the future of mobility by developing advanced safety systems, high-performance electrification, and data connectivity solutions. This role involves analyzing customer requirements, designing and coding BSP/POSIX for automotive embedded systems like infotainment and cockpit platforms. Responsibilities include software module testing, debugging issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to innovate and overcome obstacles in an agile environment.
Must Have
- Analyze internal and customer requirements, define technical requirements, and convert them into Designs and Code.
- Develop BSP/POSIX for Automotive Embedded systems like Infotainment platform for User Experience products.
- Develop Cockpit platform Software for targets.
- Responsible for Software module testing (functional, Unit / integration testing) and understanding SW and System KPIs.
- Debug and resolve customer reported issues in an agile manner.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to bring innovation or overcome obstacles.
- Graduate in BE/B.Tech/ ME/ M.Tech (Electricals/ Electronics/ Instrumentation).
- 6 - 15 Years of experience.
- Expertise in POSIX (QNX/Linux) configuration/development for ARM based SoCs.
- Software product development on SoC with C++14 in embedded context.
- Kernel development and maintenance.
- Strong Knowledge on Qualcomm/TITD4/ SAMSUNG SOC.
- Device drivers development for target platform.
- Proven experience in SW bring up on EVB’s and Custom HW.
- Strong Experience in Error Handling techniques and debugging tools.
- Configuration of build for specific target (Yocto).
- Prior experience in modern software development processes (testing, CI, code reviews).
- Experience with SW development processes (ASPICE, Scrum, Scrumban, Kanban) and Automotive Software.
- Experience with SW version, requirements and change management tools like Git/Gerrit, Jira, Polarion, Jenkins.
- Expertise in flashing and testing of ECUs, and in design and development of complex embedded software systems (C, C++).
- Assist the Product Owner to define, plan and prioritize the backlog.
- Assist the Agile Team to define and scale user stories, and to estimate their size.

Your role
In particular you will be responsible for:
- Analyzing internal and customer requirements, defining technical requirements handling phases of SDLC/STLC in collaboration with the OEM & other Aptiv competencies , and converting these into Designs and Code
- Development of BSP/POSIX for Automotive Embedded systems like Infotainment platform for User Experience products.
- Development of Cockpit platform Software for targets
- Responsible for Software module testing (functional, Unit / integration testing) and understand and involve in various SW and System KPIs and related refinements
- Debugging and resolving the customer reported issues in an agile manner
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to bring innovation or overcome the obstacles of the owned modules
Your Background
Key ingredients for succeeding in this role are your:
- A graduate in BE/B.Tech/ ME/ M.Tech (Electricals/ Electronics/ Instrumentation)
- Experience Required – 6 - 15 Years
- POSIX (QNX/Linux) configuration/development for ARM based SoCs
- Software product development on SoC with C++14 in embedded context (low level driver), including object-oriented thinking and meta programming: design, programming, debugging, code quality assurance, profiling, optimization, refactoring
- Kernel development and maintenance
- Strong Knowledge on Qualcomm/TITD4/ SAMSUNG SOC
- Device drivers development for target platform
- Proven experience in SW bring up on EVB’s and Custom HW
- Strong Experience in Error Handling techniques and debugging tools
- Configuration of build for specific target (Yocto)
- Prior experience in modern software development processes: backlog refinement and management, testing (unit tests, behavior tests, integration tests, test-driven development, testing tools and frameworks), Continuous Integration (task automation, Jenkins, flows, merge gates), code reviews, environment scripting and automation.
- Experience with the common SW development processes (ASPICE, Scrum, Scrumban, Kanban) and Automotive Software
- Experience with SW version, requirements and change management tools like Git/Gerrit, Jira, Polarion, Jenkins
- Expertise in flashing and testing of ECUs, and in design and development of complex embedded software systems (C, C++)
- Assist the Product Owner to define, plan and prioritize the backlog for a software component team
- Assisting with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information
Assist the Agile Team to define and scale user stories, and to estimate their size
