Job Summary

The Test Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, reusable, and high-performance software building blocks for manufacturing test systems. This role supports global standardization, productivity improvement, and integration of advanced test technologies across Aptiv’s manufacturing landscape. Key responsibilities include leading ICT and MOL test system development, implementing the Corporate FTQ Model, providing SCD tool support, and designing EOL testing strategies. The role also involves data analytics, fixture design, and technical leadership.

Must Have

  • Lead development and deployment of ICT and MOL test systems.
  • Implement and maintain the Corporate FTQ Model.
  • Support ICT/MOL RASI activities.
  • Drive updates to DDS27 Design Standard Test specifications.
  • Provide SCD tool support for test systems.
  • Design and implement End-of-Line (EOL) testing strategies.
  • Develop test sequences using NI TestStand and LabWindows CVI.
  • Utilize PathWave Data Analytics for insights.
  • Conduct Testway board and coverage analysis.
  • Design, develop, and debug ICT and MOL test fixtures.
  • Benchmark new equipment.
  • Provide technical support, training, and mentoring for ICT engineers.
  • Review and approve design deviations.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics.
  • 5+ years experience in ICT and manufacturing test systems.
  • Proficiency in Testway and PathWave data analytics.
  • Strong understanding of test fixture design and manufacturing test processes.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and collaboration skills.

Job Description

The Test Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, reusable, and high-performance software building blocks for manufacturing test systems. This role supports global standardization, productivity improvement, and integration of advanced test technologies across Aptiv’s manufacturing landscape

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test Development & Optimization
  • Lead development and deployment of In-Circuit Test (ICT) and Inline (MOL) test systems.
  • Implement and maintain the Corporate FTQ Model to ensure consistent quality metrics across sites.
  • Support ICT/MOL RASI activities to define roles and responsibilities in test processes.
  • Drive updates to DDS27 Design Standard Test specifications for improved test coverage and compliance.
  • Test System Design & Support
  • Provide SCD tool support for configuration and deployment of test systems.
  • Design and implement End-of-Line (EOL) testing strategies for automotive electronic components.
  • Develop and maintain test sequences using NI TestStand and LabWindows CVI.
  • Data Analytics & Coverage Analysis
  • Utilize PathWave Data Analytics for test data visualization and performance insights.
  • Conduct Testway board analysis and coverage analysis to validate and improve test effectiveness.
  • Fixture Design & Debug
  • Design, develop, and debug ICT and MOL test fixtures, ensuring mechanical and electrical reliability.
  • Benchmark new equipment to evaluate performance, cost, and suitability for deployment.
  • Technical Leadership & Support
  • Provide technical support, training, and mentoring for ICT engineers across regions.
  • Review and approve design deviations related to test coverage and fixture constraints.

Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in ICT and manufacturing test systems.
  • Proficiency in test coverage tools such as Testway and data analytics platforms like PathWave.
  • Strong understanding of test fixture design, debugging, and manufacturing test processes.
  • Excellent communication, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
