Job Description

As a Senior Manager, Marketing Innovation Programmes, you will be responsible for developing a portfolio of projects to drive innovative marketing approaches. This role involves identifying new approaches, facilitating innovation from ideation to pilot projects and scale-up. Responsibilities include encouraging ideation across teams, identifying potential marketing innovations, prioritizing ideas, and facilitating innovation projects. You will collaborate with stakeholders to embed new capabilities and support strategy development. The role requires extensive experience in marketing strategy, understanding customer needs, and digital marketing, along with strong project management and leadership skills.
Must have:
  • Extensive experience in marketing strategy development
  • Deep understanding of customer needs
  • Experience in developing metrics to demonstrate performance
  • Application of structured innovation frameworks
  • Understanding of digital marketing and technology
  • Interest in AI application in marketing
  • Ability to drive innovation projects

  • Leadership experience, particularly in a matrix environment
  • Strong communicator with skills to influence & negotiate
Good to have:
  • Degree or similar qualification preferred
  • Project Management Certification advantageous, not required

About the Role

Modern marketing needs people who can push boundaries and question the status quo, while motivating and inspiring marketers towards what could be possible.

As part of the Marketing Effectiveness and Strategic Projects team you will be responsible for building a portfolio of projects designed to drive innovative new ways to market to our diverse customer base. This individual excellence role will work across teams to uncover potential for new approaches and facilitate innovation from ideation to tangible pilot projects and scale-up. 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Encourage and facilitate structured ideation across teams to conceptualize, design and pilot new ways to reach and engage our customers 
  • Identify and advocate for potential marketing innovations based on new technologies and techniques from different sectors 
  • Prioritize ideas and present recommendations to senior stakeholders to build consensus on sequencing 
  • Facilitate a programme of innovation projects at various stages of maturity, towards scale/refine/stop decisions 
  • Work with key stakeholders to embed new capabilities into ways of working 
  • Support the strategy development process and contribute to the developing of our strategic thinking and plans.  

 

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

Essential

  • Extensive experience in marketing strategy development, including identifying, evaluating and piloting new techniques and technologies  
  • Deep understanding how to evaluate customer needs and/or experience in customer-centric product development. 
  • Experience in developing metrics to demonstrate performance and inform activity  
  • Application of structured innovation frameworks  
  • Demonstrable understanding of digital marketing landscape with strong understanding of how technology can be applied, and curiosity about new techniques  
  • Fundamental understanding and interest in AI application in marketing 
  • Ability to equip a large & senior group of stakeholders with tools and skills to drive innovation projects in an agile and impactful manner ((Director, VP level) including in technical functions (analytics, IT)
  • Ability to commission, interpret & synthesize data to drive decision-making 
  • Strong project management skills incl. Workshop facilitation (in person, online)  
  • Leadership experience, particularly in a matrix environment  
  • Strong communicator with skills to influence & negotiate

Desirable                           

  • Degree or similar qualification preferred 
  • Project Management Certification advantageous, not required
