Senior Manager, Packaging Engineering

General Purpose:

The position will be responsible for setting packaging vision and roadmaps, establishing strategy, and managing packaging development and compliance. The position will be responsible for all Corsair product lines such as Audio, Keyboards, Mice, Controllers, etc. The candidate must have experience of creating and applying strategy and vision, the capacity to work cross-functionally, and experience leading full product management lifecycles. The position and the candidate will support Corsair’s mission to deliver innovative products that improve PC and console gaming experience and ensure customer satisfaction.

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

• Drive packaging engineering strategy and initiatives from concept through mass production aligning the packaging development with product development process.
• Lead critical decisions on packaging structure and the unboxing experience by fostering innovation in packaging design, materials, and sustainability.
• Provides technical and business expertise on manufacturing systems, technologies, products and materials.
• Be the critical escalation path for packaging process issues while working closely with Asia and US teams to ensure cross-functional collaboration is effective.
• Demonstrate strong executive presence in senior leadership meetings and presentations.
• Develop Sustainability and Packaging solutions that deliver value to the business and support sustainability strategy.
• Build competitive advantage by identifying, evaluating, and championing technical advancements, design trends and innovations in packaging for a better brand experience.
• Work collaboratively with procurement, operations, brand, graphics and external partners to understand product requirements and specifications.
• Demonstrated ability managing a global team.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• 10+ years in a specific focus area of packaging and/or considered a Subject Matter Expert in field.
• 10+ years as a Packaging Engineer.
• Understanding of the full packaging development and qualification process. 
• Experience and understanding of consumer product development timeline.
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently and effectively across multiple activities and tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills: Demonstrated ability to present complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences 
• Domestic and International Travel required.
