Roblox is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Product Policy Manager to join our Safety organization. In this role, you will be a key leader in supporting our risk review and management function, specifically within our Trust by Design risk management program. You will be responsible for overseeing the identification, evaluation, and mitigation/management of safety-related risks associated with the development of new product features and iteration of existing products. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring that safety is a core consideration throughout the entire product lifecycle, fostering a culture of proactive risk management.

You Will:

• Support and manage a scalable intake process for identifying and addressing potential trust and safety risks associated with new product features while collaborating with cross functional teams to ensure proper review.
• Partner closely with product owners and cross-functional teams (including product management and engineering) to integrate safety assessments seamlessly into the product development lifecycle. This involves:
• Generating comprehensive safety assessments that analyze potential risks across various dimensions (e.g., user safety, content moderation, product policy).
• Collaborating with product teams to develop and implement effective mitigation strategies to reduce or eliminate identified risks.
• Providing ongoing guidance, follow-ups, and support to product teams on best practices for building safe and trustworthy products.
• Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including:
• Internal Safety stakeholders (product, policy, operations, engineering).
• External stakeholders (legal, information security, civility, public policy, product marketing, and communications teams).
• Build strong relationships with these stakeholders to ensure alignment on safety goals and facilitate effective risk management.
• Provide thought leadership and expertise on Trust by Design principles and best practices.
• Influence product strategy and decision-making to prioritize safety and mitigate potential risks.

You Have:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in program management, risk management, and/or Trust & Safety, preferably in a technology company.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively analyze and interpret relevant safety information to support decision-making processes with a strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and Trust & Safety processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders across different teams.
• Deep understanding of online safety issues, including content moderation, user behavior, and emerging threats.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and evolving environment, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges or requirements.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

Annual Salary Range

$198,100—$242,680 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
