Summary

The Senior Risk Representative at Disney's North American Events and Production Risk team ensures safe practices for Retail Commercialization business units. Responsibilities include serving as the asset protection point of contact for productions and events, assessing safety protocols with vendors, developing safety programs and training, managing emergency supplies, and acting as the onsite safety lead. Additional duties involve supporting occupational safety programs, maintaining department databases and communication systems, developing performance metrics, coordinating infectious disease protocols, managing special projects, and participating in BERT programs. The role requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, as well as a focus on guest service.

About the team you will be joining

The North American Events and Production Risk team is part of the Global Asset Protection and Risk team, responsible for helping ensure safe practices to Disney Retail Commercialization business units during planning and implementation of productions, events and related Retail activations.

Every day as Senior Risk Representative is unique, and depending on the day you might…

  • Serve as the Asset Protection and Risk point of contact for Retail Commercialization productions, events and activations.
  • Ensure all support requests are accurately submitted and documented within department databases, assess and support related production/event/activations.
  • Work with location venues and/or 3rd party vendors to assess safety and security protocols.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement location specific written safety, security, and emergency management/response programs and training for teams.
  • Assess, source and procure Retail facility emergency supply needs.
  • Serve as onsite safety and security lead during Retail productions/events/activations.
  • Support occupational safety programs to include ergonomic evaluations for Retail employees, as directed by department manager.
  • Maintain department SharePoint sites, Retail specific event and production contact lists within emergency notification systems and other software platforms.
  • Develop and regularly update Key Performance Indicators, executive summaries, and similar metric dashboards to keep department leadership advised of program performance.
  • Regularly monitor and coordinate response efforts related to Retail business and local jurisdiction infectious disease prevention protocols, communicate, and implement execution as directed by manager.
  • Implement special projects, as advised, in a highly efficient manner with supporting results.
  • Serve as an agent of Global Emergency Preparedness and Response in supporting implementation of Building Emergency Response Team (BERT) programs, including but not limited to active membership of BERT and program monitoring for East Coast Retail facilities, where appropriate.
  • Maintain outstanding Guest Service both internally and externally.
     

Here is what you will need to be successful in this role:

  • +5 years of Occupational Safety, Risk experience required.
  • Proven experience leading complex projects with cross-functional partners.
  • Ability to think strategically and communicate the broader vision to key leaders.
  • Proven attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the workforce, partners, and external business vendors.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Working knowledge of ergonomics and proficient in MS Office Suite.
     

Education is important to us, here is what we are looking for…

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Investigation and/or research experience
  • Working knowledge of productions, events or similar work scopes
  • Safety, risk and/or Asset Protection industry designations (e.g., CSP, CPP, ARM, etc.)
