Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) Engineer to join our managed services team. In this pivotal role, you will enhance client security posture by designing, developing, and deploying SOAR solutions to automate security operations tasks and workflows. This includes integrating SOAR platforms with various security tools like endpoint protection and threat intelligence, identifying ROI for automation, and providing technical leadership and mentorship to staff on client projects.

Must Have:
  • Design, develop, and deploy SOAR solutions to automate security operations tasks and workflows.
  • Integrate SOAR platform with a wide range of security tools.
  • Identify and explain how automation is returning client investment.
  • Provide mentorship to other technical staff members.
  • Provide technical assistance during onboarding and post-onboarding.
  • Take technical leadership on client projects; oversee and guide work performed by other technical staff members.
  • 6+ years of related work experience.
  • 4+ years of technical experience with SOAR solutions (Google SecOps/SIEMplify, Splunk SOAR/Phantom, Swimlane).
  • Experienced with multiple security concepts and methods (vulnerability assessments, incident response, development best practices).
  • Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, OSI model) and operating system fundamentals (Windows, Linux, or macOS).
  • Strong understanding of security technologies (endpoint security, DLP, firewalls, IDS/IPS).
  • Strong understanding and experience with Python, HTML, JavaScript, and regular expressions.
  • Experience with cloud-based service architecture.
  • Understanding of various security frameworks and/or methodologies (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST).
  • Experience representing technical viewpoints to diverse audiences.
  • Strong written and presentational skills.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture and working as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and is a self-starter.
  • Technical writing experience.
  • Possess high standard of integrity and confidentiality.

As a Senior SOAR Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our clients' security posture. Your expertise will help automate security workflows, streamline response actions, and integrate various tools to improve overall security operations efficiency and effectiveness.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Design, develop, and deploy SOAR solutions to automate security operations tasks and workflows.
  • Integrate SOAR platform with a wide range of security tools including endpoint protection, threat intelligence platforms, and other cybersecurity solutions.
  • Identify and explain how automation we are building for our clients is returning their investment
  • Provide mentorship to other technical staff members
  • Provide technical assistance during onboarding and post-onboarding
  • Take technical leadership on client projects; oversee and guide work performed by other technical staff members.

What we're hiring for

  • 6+ years of related work experience (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 4+ years of technical experience with SOAR solutions: Google SecOps/SIEMplify, Splunk SOAR/Phantom, Swimlane, etc.
  • Experienced with multiple security concepts and methods such as vulnerability assessments, incident response, and development best practices
  • Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, OSI model), operating system fundamentals (Windows, Linux, or macOS), and security technologies (endpoint security, DLP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, etc.)
  • Strong understanding and experience working with application programming/scripting languages - Python, HTML, JavaScript as well as regular expressions
  • Experience with cloud-based service architecture
  • Understanding of various security frameworks and/or methodologies (e.g. MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, - etc)
  • Experience representing technical viewpoints to diverse audiences
  • Strong written and presentational skills; ability to clearly communicate complex messages to a variety of audiences
  • Experience with enterprise architecture and working as part of a cross-functional team to implement solutions
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction and is a self-starter
  • Technical writing experience
  • Possess high standard of integrity and confidentiality
