Job Description
Egnyte is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the CFS Collaborate team. This role involves designing, building, and enhancing core services and new projects for the Egnyte platform, focusing on centralized file repository and web application user interfaces. Responsibilities include managing, sharing, and collaborating on files, as well as specialized features for various business verticals. The engineer will work closely with Product Management, QA, and DevOps, and be guided by technical leadership. The position requires a strong understanding of multi-services architecture and Java development with Spring, JUnit, and Tomcat.
Must Have:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in software development.

- Deep experience with Java, Spring, JUnit, Tomcat.
- Knowledge of relational databases and SQL.

We are on the lookout for a Senior Software Engineer who will join the CFS Collaborate team responsible for the core functionalities of Egnyte platform which is the heart of Egnyte. They work on centralized files repository with a web application as one of the user interfaces. Functionalities include managing, sharing and collaborating on files as well as some more specialized features that address business verticals: AEC, Life Sciences, Financial Services, etc.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
• Design, build, and enhance our core services as well as greenfield projects.
• Work closely with other departments, including Product Management, QA, and DevOps, to ensure cohesive and comprehensive product development and delivery.
• Work under the guidance and supervision of technical leader and manager, collaborating closely to ensure alignment with organizational goals and priorities.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
• Min 6+ Years of Experience in all aspects of software development life cycle.
• Experience with multi-services architecture and their challenges (asynchronicity, latency, fault-tolerance, eventual consistency, resiliency, etc.).
• Deep experience developing applications using Java, Spring, JUnit, and Tomcat.
• Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, preferably MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Attitude to solve real business problems instead of writing code which will never be used.
• Openness, adaptability, and flexibility in responding to change, at Egnyte you'll collaborate with other developers, product owners, and system QA to release new iterations following the SaaS delivery model.
