This role is for a data-driven Product Marketer to drive innovative product marketing to support Slack’s self-service business. Responsibilities include partnering with Product Management to define product strategy, messaging, and positioning, leading end-to-end product-led growth initiatives, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences that translate to business outcomes. The role requires collaboration across various teams to execute go-to-market strategies.
Must have:
  • Partner with Product Management on strategy, roadmaps, positioning, and messaging.
  • Lead end-to-end product-led growth initiatives and self-serve value proposition.
  • Accountable for exceptional customer experiences and business outcomes.
  • Build consensus and engagement across Growth, Campaigns, Creative, Product Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Pricing Strategy, Customer Success.
  • Lead messaging and positioning strategy for target personas with Go-to-Market, Campaigns, Content, Corporate Marketing.
  • 5-7+ years in product, industry, or growth marketing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication for executive presentations.
  • Ability to strategize and craft compelling messaging.
  • Proven track record leading and inspiring through influence.
  • Hands-on experience building marketing assets: pitch-decks, demo videos, event/webinar content.
  • Lead new projects even in ambiguity.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% (domestic and international).

At Slack, our Growth Product Marketers develop product messaging and positioning, product led go-to-market programs, digital marketing campaigns, and compelling marketing assets. Our success is defined by our ability to deliver relevant content in the customer journey that creates new self-service customers and product qualified sales pipeline.

We are looking for a data driven, motivated product marketer to drive and deliver innovative product marketing to support Slack’s self-service business. In this role, you will be responsible for working cross-functionally with product, marketing, and growth teams to create messaging, positioning, content, and go-to-market strategies grounded in user research and data analysis. The best candidates will be highly collaborative individuals and initiative takers who are motivated by a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities & Impact

  • Partner with Product Management to understand product strategy and roadmaps, distill key functionality and value into core product positioning and messaging.
  • Experience leading end to end product led growth initiatives and crafting a compelling self serve value proposition.
  • Be accountable for exceptional customer experiences that translate to business outcomes.
  • Build consensus, alignment, and engagement across Growth, Campaigns, Creative, Product Marketing, Product Management, Sales, Pricing Strategy, and Customer Success.
  • Lead messaging and positioning strategy and execution for target personas in partnership with global Go-to-Market, Campaigns, Content, and Corporate Marketing teams.

Required Skills:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in product marketing, industry marketing, or growth marketing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present in front of executives, vendors, partners, and customers.
  • Ability to strategize and craft compelling messaging.
  • Phenomenal teammate with a proven track record leading and inspiring through influence.
  • Hands-on experience building a range of marketing assets, including compelling positioning and messaging, succinct slide pitch-decks, demo videos, and event/webinar content.
  • Pick up and lead new projects even in the face of ambiguity.
  • Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.).
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel to both domestic and international locations - up to 25% travel.
