This part-time contract role as an SMB Sales D1 – Reusable Packaging Ambassador / SDR involves recruiting restaurant partners for a reusable packaging pilot, providing onboarding support, and engaging with the community to raise awareness. The role also includes monitoring return bins and collecting containers. The ideal candidate is dynamic, people-oriented, passionate about sustainability, and proactive in problem-solving, with 2-5 years of experience in sales, customer service, or marketing.

Must Have:
- Recruit and onboard restaurant partners for reusable packaging pilot
- Provide onboarding support and training on packaging portal
- Assist with in-app and on-site marketing and signage
- Distribute marketing material and engage with community
- Monitor return bins and provide feedback for modifications
- Drive weekly routes to collect containers (from January onward)
- Located within driving distance of Half Moon Bay
- Available 10-20 hours per week for approximately 6 months
- 2-5 years of experience in sales, customer service, and/or marketing
- Experience with pilots, community engagement, or grassroots campaigns
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to lift 20+ lbs.

Type: Part-time (10–20 hours/week)
Duration: ~6 months
Key Responsibilities
- Restaurant Partner Recruitment & Support
- Pitch reusable packaging pilot to restaurants and sign them onto the program.
- Provide onboarding support: demonstrate sample inventory, train on packaging portal.
- Assist with in-app and on-site marketing & signage.
- Community & Consumer Engagement
- Distribute handouts and marketing material to raise awareness.
- Engage with local consumers and community groups (e.g., farmers markets, beach cleanups).
- Program Monitoring & Logistics
- Monitor return bins: check signage, placement, and proper usage.
- Provide feedback/recommendations for bin modifications.
- From January onward: drive weekly routes to collect containers from participating consumers.
Requirements
- Located within driving distance of Half Moon Bay.
- Availability: 10–20 hours per week for ~6 months.
- 2–5 years of experience in sales, customer service, and/or marketing.
- Experience with pilots, community engagement, or grassroots campaigns.
