Salesforce is the #1 AI CRM, driving customer success. This role is for a Software Engineer (Senior Member of the Technical Staff) in the Employee Success (HR) engineering team. It's a hybrid role focusing on configuring, developing, and testing Workday functionalities and integrations. The ideal candidate has a solid background in Workday, especially Benefits & Compensation, and expertise in automation tools like Kainos. Responsibilities include delivering Workday enhancements, collaborating with teams, designing features, building test automation, and ensuring product quality.
Must have:
  • Deliver Workday enhancements (functional and technical).
  • Collaborate with internal Workday teams and business users.
  • Participate in product and feature design sessions.
  • Build effective, scalable, and maintainable test automation using Kainos.
  • Contribute to code reviews.
  • Diagnose, track, and manage quality issues to resolution.
  • Ensure product quality, create test plans, and report defects.
  • Workday certification (Integrations, Studio, Extend, Benefits/Compensation).
  • Hands-on knowledge of CCB and XSLT.
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday architecture, configuration, and integration.
  • 7+ years of Workday Integrations, Benefits & Compensation implementation experience.
  • Working knowledge of Workday Security, Business Processes, Reports, and Integrations framework.
  • Proficiency with Workday Community and latest features.
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities.
  • Experience leading full life cycle Workday implementations.
  • Working knowledge of data modeling design and relational database languages (SQL/SOQL).
  • Working knowledge of Web Services (SOAP and REST).
  • Experience defining test strategy, plans, cases, execution, and defect reporting for HR applications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate status and risk.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • A related technical degree is required.
Good to have:
  • Experience with other Workday modules like HCM, Recruiting, Payroll
  • Familiarity with Annual Benefit Enrollment
  • Compensation Merit and Promotion cycles

Salesforce is looking for a Software Engineer (Senior Member of the Technical Staff) to join our growing Business Technology team. This is a key role in our Employee Success (HR) engineering team.

This is a hybrid role where one would spend time configuring, developing, and testing Workday functionalities and integrations. In addition to Workday expertise, the individual should have knowledge of manually testing and expertise to leverage automation tools like Kainos.

You must have a solid background in Workday with hands-on experience Workday Benefits & Compensation and a good understanding of industry best practices. You will be responsible for configuration, development, and testing through all phases of the implementation lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Workday enhancements to support our existing Workday implementation, covering both functional and technical aspects.
  • Closely work with the internal Workday teams and business users to understand the business requirements, including working with 3rd party integrators.
  • Participate in product and feature design sessions with developers, designers, product managers, and business systems analysts.
  • Build test automation that is effective, scalable, and maintainable using tools such as Kainos.
  • Participate in and contribute to code reviews.
  • Diagnose, track and manage quality issues to resolution.
  • Ensure product quality meets stakeholder expectations and is responsible for creating test plans, test cases, test execution, and defect reporting.

Required Skills:

  • Workday certification - Integrations (Partner/Pro), Studio, Workday Extend and Workday Benefits and/or Compensation certification
  • Hands on Knowledge of CCB, XSLT
  • In-depth knowledge of Workday architecture, configuration, and integration 7+ years of implementation experience in Workday Integrations, and Workday Benefits & Compensation
  • Working knowledge of Workday Security, Business Processes, Reports, Calc Fields, Integrations framework, Studio and BIRT.
  • Well-versed with Workday Community and latest features/enhancements of Workday Releases.
  • Business analysis and requirements gathering abilities. Experience in leading a full life cycle Workday implementations.
  • Working knowledge of data modeling design and relational database languages (SQL or SOQL).
  • Working Knowledge of Web Services (SOAP and REST).
  • Experience in defining test strategy, test plans, test cases, test execution, and defect reporting for Workday or any enterprise HR software applications.
  • Ability to effectively communicate status and risk to the team and manager
  • Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • A related technical degree required.

Desired Skills:

  • Experience of working on other Workday modules like HCM, Recruiting, Payroll
  • Familiarity with Annual Benefit Enrollment, Compensation Merit and Promotion cycles
  • Experience developing on MuleSoft
