The Social Media Coordinator is a key member of the broader Social team, implementing strategies on social platforms based on relevant insights to achieve measurable results. Coordinators receive in-depth training and continue their professional development by gaining skills through on-the-job experience. The ideal profile includes strong analytical skills, good mathematical proficiency, demonstrated creative thinking, and great attention to detail.
Must have:
  • Assist social media specialists and supervisors in managing and executing approved social media plans
  • Contribute to the development and organization of supporting data for social media plans and recommendations
  • Communicate frequently with local clients regarding tactical aspects of social media plans, facilitating information flow and answering questions
  • Manage contracts and insertion orders, as well as associated revisions, with media vendors when managed services are in place
  • Be responsible for social media buying entry and discrepancy management, including media spend updates
  • Participate in the billing process, including an automated process for Facebook
  • Update blocking charts, budgets, and budget summaries as needed
  • Support media research and ensure daily communications with the creative team, when relevant
  • Update competitive activity reports and provide technical support for presentation preparation

Job Description

The Social Media Coordinator is an essential member of the broader Social team, implementing strategies on social platforms based on relevant insights, with the goal of achieving measurable results.

Social Media Coordinators receive in-depth training and continue their professional development by acquiring skills through on-the-job experience. Their ideal profile includes strong analytical skills, good mathematical proficiency, demonstrated creative thinking, and great attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assist social media specialists and supervisors in managing and executing approved social media plans
  • Contribute to the development and organization of supporting data for social media plans and recommendations
  • Communicate frequently with local clients regarding tactical aspects of social media plans, facilitating information flow and answering questions
  • Manage contracts and insertion orders, as well as associated revisions, with media vendors when managed services are in place
  • Be responsible for social media buying entry and discrepancy management, including media spend updates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; specialization in advertising, marketing, business administration, or communications, an asset
  • History of success in post-secondary education and previous professional experiences
  • Strong quantitative skills, including analysis and mathematics
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in technical tools, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and solve problems
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines under pressure
  • Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, quality work
