Job Description

Publicis Sapient seeks a Manager Quality Engineering to lead digital transformation initiatives. This role involves consulting with clients, strategizing, designing, and implementing automation solutions for diverse applications. Key responsibilities include defining and overseeing test automation strategies, optimizing current processes, and setting up end-to-end QA processes. The manager will also participate in architectural reviews, plan and track team work, report on testing activities, and mentor the team, ensuring adherence to project standards. The ideal candidate will drive enterprise-wide QA strategy across multiple tech stacks.
Must have:
  • 10-14 years of overall testing experience.
  • 4+ years in test automation frameworks and continuous testing strategy.
  • Strong experience in Java, JavaScript, Python, C#, or other OOP languages.
  • Proficiency with QA automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, SOAPUI.
  • Hands-on experience in UI, API, Webservices, and Microservices automation.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Gitlab or Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with Cloud technologies, preferably AWS.
  • Experience on Cloud Platforms like Sauce Labs and Perfecto.
  • Knowledge of functional tools including Selenium, Webdriver IO, NightWatchJS.
  • Basic knowledge of JMeter or other performance testing tools.
  • Sound knowledge of Agile, BDD, and DevOps methodologies.
  • Ability to consult clients and lead teams in automation solution design.
  • Define and implement comprehensive test automation strategies.
  • Oversee technological delivery of automation solution roadmaps.
  • Set up end-to-end QA processes, including requirement analysis and reporting.
  • Participate in design and architectural reviews of automation solutions.
  • Design and implement enterprise-wide QA strategies for diverse clients.
  • Plan, estimate, and track team's work effectively.
  • Track and report on testing activities, results, and defects.
  • Mentor and guide the team on technical knowledge.
  • Ensure adherence to company project standards and guidelines.

Overview

Job Purpose

  • Thought leadership - Consult with the client and setup/guides a team to strategize, design, implement and run automation solution supporting variety of applications
  • Technical leadership - Identify, evaluate, recommend, and optimize current automated testing processes and tools
  • Define and implement test automation strategy including roadmap, tools, framework, and approach across project teams
  • Oversee technological delivery of the recommended automation solution roadmap across project teams
  • setting up end to end QA processes across Requirement Analysis, Test Strategy/Design and Test reporting
  • Participate in design and architectural reviews of proposed automation solutions across project teams
  • Designing & implementing enterprise wide QA strategy for variety of clients including complex applications across multiple tech stacks (involving both functional and automation testing)
  • Planning, estimating (should be aware of robust models and how to use them) and tracking team’s work
  • Status reporting: Track and report upon testing activities, including testing results, test case coverage, required resources, defects discovered and their status etc.
  • Mentors/guides the team on technical knowhow
  • Adhere to company project standards and guidelines

Qualifications

Mandatory Skills & Experience

  • 10-14 years of overall testing experience and atleast 4+ years of in-depth experience in establishing test automation frameworks, evaluating tools, and implementing continuous testing strategy
  • Hands on framework development for a Green Field Project
  • Strong hands on experience in Java/JavaScript programming languages/Python/C#/Any Object oriented language.
  • Strong experience on QA Automation tools such as Selenium/Cucumber/Appium/SOAPUI etc.
  • Strong exposure on UI or API automation, hands on Webservices/Microservices automation
  • Experience in CI/CD tools, such as Gitlab(preferable) / Jenkins
  • Experience in Cloud tech preferably AWS
  • Experience on Cloud Platforms such as Sauce Labs, Perfecto
  • Functional tools like Selenium (mandate), Webdriver IO, NightWatchJS, etc
  • Should have basic knowledge of JMeter or any other equivalent Performance testing tool
  • Sound Knowledge of methodologies and approaches such as Agile, BDD, DevOps etc.
  • Industry experience on Financial Services is preferred.
