Software Developer, Release Tools, Release Engineering

The opportunity

Unity is looking for an experienced Software Developer to be part of our Release Engineering Tools Team. This team is responsible for a number of key internal and external tools and systems. We directly support Unity customers, particularly in the area of bug reporting workflows, as well as internal developers in a variety of important areas across the organization. We are looking for someone with a keen interest in developing and maintaining tools that are at the centre of critical operations, as well as a passion for improving developer workflows.

What you'll be doing

• Working on key tools that are critical to internal and external customers

• Contribute to the planning of future software projects that are critical to the success of our customers

• Collaborate closely with other teams at Unity who are all working towards improving the quality of our live releases and our customer experience

• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions and knowledge sharing sessions to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement

What we're looking for

• Good C# / .NET knowledge

• Experience with data management - databases and APIs for migration, transformation, and storage

• Understanding of building and deploying tools for Cloud environments

• Understanding of building and deploying tools for Cloud environments, including Kubernetes / Docker knowledge

• Excellent written / spoken communication in English

You might also have

• Familiarity with C++, Golang, or Ruby on Rails experience

• Experience with a frontend framework, e.g. Blazor, WPF, Avalonia

• Experience using the Unity Editor or other game development experience
