The Sr. Management Consultant for Pharma Commercial will be a crucial member of the team, focusing on Pharma Commercial and Real World analytics solutions. They will lead solution/product development, provide leadership to project teams, and build client relationships. The consultant will work with client Business and IT teams to ensure successful solution implementation. Key responsibilities include product and solution development, data analysis, and providing game-changing solutions to global clients, with a strong focus on the Life Sciences Analytics Solutions practice. They will be expected to lead solution/product development and implementation; provide leadership, coaching and direct supervision to project teams; and build/nurture client relationships. The role requires a solutions mindset and strong architecting skills.

Saama is seeking a Sr. Business Consultant for our Life Sciences Analytics Solutions practice, who has the experience and deep understanding of Pharma Sales Operations, Marketing, and Market Access business functions. As a lead solution consultant, you will be a crucial leading member of a fast growing team focused on Pharma Commercial and Real World analytics solutions and consulting engagements.
You will be expected to lead solution/product development and implementation; provide leadership, coaching and direct supervision to project teams; and build/nurture client relationships. Working independently under limited supervision, you are expected to help plan, analyze, design, and develop business analytics solutions for complex business problems. You will work very closely with client Business and IT teams and at all levels, to ensure successful solution implementation.

Pharma Domain Expertise:
  • Sales and Real World Data Analytics and Reporting (Sales, Rx, Claims, EMR/EHR data)
  • Real World Data Modelling using Industry Standard Models (OMOP)
  • Segmentation and HCP/HCO Targeting knowledge required
  • Marketing analytics: OMNI Channel performance, Campaign and lead management
  • New Product Launch Strategy and Analytics
  • HCP, HCO, GPO/IDN Affiliations Management
  • Territory Alignment and Incentive Compensation Management (IC Data/Reporting)
  • Commercial Data Management Strategies (Sales and RWE Data)
  • Contract Management Solutions (Provider contracts, Payer contracts, GPOs, IDNs, SP contracts)
  • Compliance Management/Reporting (HIPAA, Sunshine Act, EFPIA Spend Reporting, FDA)
  • Data Expertise (IQVIA, DRG, HealthLeaders, Symphony, CMS, EHR/PHR, SP, SD)
Consulting Skills:
  • Experience with functions such as sales data processing, reporting, alignment management & CRM
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical data including an understanding of field sales roles including sales, managed markets, account-based teams, etc.
  • Understanding of Pharmaceutical Commercial and Sales Operations group, including insights around Sales (Demand vs Forecast, Normalized Units), Channel Performance, Inventory (Days on Hand, Channel vs Warehouse), Calls (Reach, Frequency, Adherence)
  • Understanding of processes & data related to Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, Market Access etc. (e.g. Direct Sales, Self-Dispensing Pharmacy, Competitor Sales, Prescription, Shipment, Distribution Channel, CRM, Incentive Program, Physician Affiliations, Pricing decisions, Payer contracts, Speaker Program, etc.).
  • Demonstrate a logical, rigorous, and analytical problem-solving approach, leading requirements gathering sessions and preparing and delivering client presentations and work products
  • Experience writing uses cases, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Experience with external facing applications planning and design
  • Experience with Waterfall, Agile/Scrum project delivery methodologies
  • Be able to write client ready decks with few iterations under the guidance of a more senior consultant (e.g. can structure complex analysis involving multiple quantitative and qualitative datasets and all required activities, can structure horizontal and vertical logic of decks)
  • Ability to adapt to change, work independently, organize work effectively and take initiative in fast-paced work environment while managing multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously
  • Become a thought leader and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for specific analytics driven business problems.
  • Skilled at analyzing complex issues and distilling concepts to clients.
  • Able to proactively identify risks, and drive action to mitigate and resolve issues.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a vast array of information.
  • Broad understanding of the role of data management, information flow, and data governance issues.
  • Able to serve as a liaison between both business and technical teams to drive effective, timely solutions that fulfill both strategic and operational needs.
  • Skilled at defining and documenting business processes and solution requirements
  • Firm sense of accountability, ownership for end-to-end project lifecycle.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, with the ability to interact efficiently with technical and non-technical groups.
  • Ability to bill around 50% of their time to gain customer confidence / ground reality and guide the rest of the team

Technical Expertise:
  • Advanced level presentation skills required: PowerPoint, Google slides
  • Demonstrated advanced level analytical skills are required.
Education:
  • MBA or Masters in Information Systems Required
