Job Description

The Sr. Medical Specialist, Hospital is responsible for providing professional services to patients and clients through professional visits and academic seminars. This role aims to convey brand information, maintain brand reputation, and contribute to the company's overall business objectives. Key responsibilities include developing and optimizing relationships with local hospital clients, continuously learning professional skills and knowledge, and effectively applying them in daily academic promotion activities. The specialist will also gather client information, submit reports, and manage hospital archives.
Must have:

  • Assist supervisor in ensuring effective system operation and evaluation.
  • Ensure academic seminar activities align with market development strategies.
  • Execute and improve regional business plans.
  • Ensure all activities comply with company policies, quality standards, and laws.
  • Comply with GSK global quality policies.
  • Complete all tasks required by superiors.
  • Promote and sell all Haleon products within the assigned territory.

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in medicine, pharmacy, or biology.

Job Purpose

Through professional visits and academic seminars, provide professional services to patients and clients, convey brand information, maintain brand reputation, and achieve the company's overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct professional visits and academic seminars in target hospitals within the designated area, meeting company requirements. Develop and optimize healthy working relationships with local hospital clients. Actively participate in learning professional skills and knowledge, meeting company requirements, and effectively apply these skills and knowledge in daily academic promotion activities. Timely understand and collect client disease diagnosis and brand usage information. Submit various reports on time and truthfully as required. Responsible for understanding the basic management procedures and drug management processes/usage in hospitals within the assigned area, establishing, improving, and timely updating hospital archives. Actively participate in various company business meetings and team building. Share professional promotion experience, insights, and market information with the team, assisting the supervisor in achieving team goals. By actively participating in the implementation of the SFA project, accurately and timely input relevant information as required (visits, coverage, meetings, client visits, and quality of medical information provided, etc.), assisting the supervisor or manager in ensuring the effective operation of the system, and enabling quantitative and qualitative inspection and evaluation. Assist the supervisor/manager in ensuring that academic seminar activities for each brand are closely linked to market development strategies. Execute the regional business plan formulated by the supervisor/manager, and formulate and continuously improve the business plan for the designated area. Ensure that all undertaken activities fully comply with company policies and quality standards, and comply with the laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China and other relevant codes of conduct. Comply with GlaxoSmithKline's global quality policy and global quality guidelines. Complete all tasks required by superiors.

Employees of the Haleon sales team and/or functions are obligated and responsible for promoting and selling all products of Haleon (including the labor relationship employer and its affiliated companies) within their assigned territory or channel (nutritional health, over-the-counter drugs, oral health, and product categories that the company may expand and/or designate in the future) as arranged by the company.

Qualifications

Education (Degree/Major)

Bachelor's degree, preferably with a medical, pharmacy, or biology background.

Experience

At least one year of work experience, preferably in medical professional visits.

Professional Knowledge/Skill

  • Familiar with the company's products and competitive market conditions and relevant medical policies and regulations.
  • Master the working links and operational characteristics of hospital sales channels.
  • Understand knowledge of regional management, resource allocation, and customer management.

Computer & Language Skill

  • Proficient in computer operation and use of common office software, including Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint), Lotus Notes, etc.
  • Good English listening, speaking, reading, writing, and translation skills.
