Job Description

This role involves working on automation tasks related to ServiceNow, including developing web and scripting-based automation solutions and CI/CD pipelines. Responsibilities include designing, developing, and configuring custom applications, workflows, and integrations on the ServiceNow platform, leveraging modules like ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or SecOps. The role also covers customization, scripting, platform administration, collaboration with stakeholders, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and training.
Good To Have:
  • ServiceNow certifications (e.g., Certified System Administrator, Certified Application Developer, Certified Implementation Specialist).
  • Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, CMDB, or Service Mapping.

Must Have:
  • Develop and configure custom applications, workflows, and integrations on the ServiceNow platform.
  • Design, develop, and implement solutions leveraging ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or SecOps.
  • Write and implement client scripts, business rules, UI policies, and other ServiceNow customization elements.
  • Leverage APIs and integration tools to connect ServiceNow with external systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and support for the ServiceNow platform.
  • Manage access controls, roles, and permissions to maintain platform security and integrity.
  • Work with business analysts, stakeholders, and process owners to gather requirements.
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting to ensure solutions meet functional and technical requirements.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for customizations, configurations, and workflows.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8-11 years of experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with a focus on implementing and customizing the platform.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, or SecOps.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and AngularJS.
  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations using REST, SOAP, or other APIs.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and best practices.

Scope:

  • In this role, you will be involved in working on automation tasks related to ServiceNow. The role may involve developing web and scripting-based automation solutions as well as CI/CD pipelines.

Our current technical environment:

  • Incident Configuration: Set up critical incident alerts for any processes that exceed expected execution times. This helps in identifying and addressing performance issues promptly.
  • Monitoring and Alerts: Implement robust monitoring systems to track the performance and health of the environment. Ensure that alerts are configured to notify the support team of any anomalies or issues.
  • Environment Setup: Complete all necessary configurations, such as file sharing setups and server integrations, to ensure seamless operation. Address any gaps in provisioning as part of regular maintenance activities.
  • CMDB Management: Ensure that the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) is accurately updated with server ownership details and other critical information. This helps in preventing issues related to incorrect configurations and facilitates better change management.
  • Communication and Coordination: Establish effective communication channels among teams involved in the setup process. Regular meetings or group chats can facilitate the resolution of any issues and ensure everyone is aligned.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation for customizations, configurations, and workflows.
  • Provide training and support to end-users and internal teams as needed.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8-11 Yrs of experience as a ServiceNow Developer, with a focus on implementing and customizing the platform.
  • Strong knowledge of ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, or SecOps.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and AngularJS.
