Job Description

Granicus is seeking a motivated Staff Accountant to join their dynamic and high-performing accounting team. This role involves posting revenue and deferred revenue journal entries, assisting with monthly revenue reviews, and preparing revenue reports for leadership. The accountant will also help maintain accurate data in Netsuite, assist with month-end close activities, and support accounting tasks related to company integrations and acquisitions. Responsibilities include performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and contributing to yearly external audits, requiring knowledge of GAAP Revenue Accounting Standards. The ideal candidate should be resourceful, adaptable, detail-oriented, and possess strong problem-solving and project management skills.
Must have:
  • 1-2 years of related accounting experience
  • BA/BS in Accounting or related field
  • Strong communication skills
  • Intermediate MS Office skills
  • Detail-oriented with problem-solving skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines accurately
Good to have:
  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Experience with Salesforce

The Granicus Accounting team is a dynamic and high performing group that partners with both internal and external customers to drive success for the Company. We are looking for a motivated and effective leader to join our accounting team.  The ideal candidate would be resourceful, flexible with requests, enjoys solving problems and is effective at managing relationships and communicating.

What Your Impact Will Look Like Here
  • Posting Revenue and deferred Revenue Journal entries
  • Assist with Revenue Reviews each Month End
  • Help prepare Revenue Reporting for ELT/Board of Directors
  • Assist with Business Line specific Revenue inquiries
  • Help maintain accurate data for correct recognition in Netsuite
  • Assist in month end close activities
  • Assist with various accounting activities for the integration of acquired companies
  • Assist with multiple ad hoc projects specific to acquisitions
  • Assist in supplying documentation in a yearly external audit
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Have knowledge of GAAP Revenue Accounting Standards

  • You have 1-2 years of related experience in related Accounting Roles
  • You have a BA/BS in Accounting or a related field
  • You communicate well with team members and customers
  • You have intermediate MS Office skills
  • Experience with NetSuite and Salesforce is a plus
  • You are detail-oriented, with exceptional problem-solving skills
  • You have effective project management skills, including challenging the status quo and identifying needs to re-assess existing approaches/processes
  • You are adaptable and enjoy working in a fast-paced dynamic environment
  • You demonstrate an ability to meet deadlines without compromising accuracy
