Job Summary: Support SCM team to develop & implement projects related to supply chain management, including but not limited to demand planning, inventory control, material review board, etc. The position will report to the SCM manager.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Demand Planning: support the development of accurate and realistic forecasts for critical parts/components; analyze historical trends and seasonality patterns to identify opportunities for improvement in forecast accuracy; collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between demand plans and production schedules.
2. Inventory Control: maintain appropriate inventory levels for critical parts/components while minimizing excess inventory costs; develop and implement strategies to reduce inventory holding costs through effective utilization of safety stocks and reorder points; monitor inventory aging metrics to identify opportunities for process improvements.
3. Material Review Board (MRB): conduct periodic reviews of non-conforming materials; identify root causes of defects and initiate corrective actions to prevent recurrence; ensure timely disposal or containment of defective materials according to established procedures.
4. Project Management: assist in the development and implementation of SCM projects aimed at improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction; manage project timelines, deliverables, and budgets; communicate project status updates to stakeholders on a regular basis.
5. Process Improvement: Identify areas within SCM processes where improvements can be made; recommend and implement process changes or modifications as necessary; continuously assess the effectiveness of existing processes and identify opportunities for further enhancements.
6. Quality Management System: contribute to the continuous improvement of quality management systems within the organization; participate in internal audits and help address any identified gaps or issues.
7. Compliance: adhere to all relevant regulations and standards pertaining to supply chain management practices, including those related to environmental sustainability, social responsibility, and product safety.
8. Reporting: prepare and present regular reports on SCM activities, performance indicators, and key milestones achieved by the team; provide insights and recommendations based on analysis of data and trends.
9. Team Collaboration: work closely with cross-functional departments such as procurement, logistics, manufacturing, sales, and finance to align SCM efforts with overall business objectives; actively participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on best practices and challenges faced by the team.
