Redhorse is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to provide critical support for the FBI's Regional Computer Forensics Laboratories (RCFL), field offices, Central Monitoring Plants (CMP), and other facilities. This mission-critical role ensures the reliable operation of sensitive systems, directly impacting investigations and national security. You will play a vital part in maintaining the integrity and functionality of Electronic Surveillance (ELSUR) collection systems, digital forensic systems (OCXS/ONTU), and associated networks at both UNCLASSIFIED and SECRET classification levels. Must have:
  • Maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of OTD-supplied ELSUR collection systems.
  • Management, operations, and maintenance of enterprise computer-based systems.
  • Support systems within a regional model.
  • Liaise with telecommunications service providers.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP).
  • Assist in the resolution of user questions/problems.
  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance of systems.
  • Coordinate warranty work, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs.
  • Conduct risk analysis to identify potential problems.
  • Perform inventory, logistical, and clerical support.
  • Prepare administrative and other reports.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems administration.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting complex IT systems.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment with a focus on customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good to have:
  • Experience with ELSUR or similar electronic surveillance systems.
  • Experience with digital forensic systems (OCXS/ONTU or similar).
  • Experience with telecommunications infrastructure and VoIP technologies.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Experience working with classified systems at the SECRET level.

You will play a vital part in maintaining the integrity and functionality of Electronic Surveillance (ELSUR) collection systems, digital forensic systems (OCXS/ONTU), and associated networks at both UNCLASSIFIED and SECRET classification levels. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of OTD-supplied ELSUR collection systems at UNCLASSIFIED and SECRET classification levels.
  • Management, operations, and maintenance of enterprise computer-based systems, including server installation, configuration, policy deployment, enforcement, and monitoring to ensure 24/7/365 continued mission-critical operations. Perform deployments, periodic maintenance, monitor for problems, and resolve systems and users’ issues.
  • Support systems within a regional model where regions often span multiple states.
  • Liaise with telecommunications service providers to engineer, implement, and troubleshoot telephony input lines.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOP) with Government supervision, guidance, and approvals.
  • Assist in the resolution of user questions/problems regarding installed systems and equipment.
  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance of systems to identify and correct performance, implementation failures, faults, or defaults that impair system/equipment performance and functionality.
  • Coordinate warranty work, troubleshooting, and emergency repairs to effect immediate corrections so that operations are not interrupted.
  • Perform preventative maintenance to adjust, maintain, or otherwise improve performance or enhance the overall maintainability of systems/equipment.
  • Conduct risk analysis to identify potential problems, systems/equipment modification and/or correction.
  • Perform inventory, logistical, and clerical support for shipments and deliveries of operational equipment.
  • Prepare administrative and other reports for submission to OCXS Management, OCXS Program Management (PM), and Field Office Customers as required.

Required Experience/Clearance

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems administration.
  • Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting complex IT systems.
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment with a focus on customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.

Desired Experience

  • Experience with ELSUR or similar electronic surveillance systems.
  • Experience with digital forensic systems (OCXS/ONTU or similar).
  • Experience with telecommunications infrastructure and VoIP technologies.
  • Experience developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Experience working with classified systems at the SECRET level.
