Job Description

As Teamleader Reman, you will lead a team of approximately twenty experienced mechanics and technicians responsible for the inspection and repair of parts for various vehicles like forklifts and telehandlers. You will ensure quality and efficiency by collaborating with other managers and actively participate in improvement projects. Your role involves team leadership, coaching, training, recruitment, and maintaining safety and order. You will also serve as a technical expert, analyze problems, and manage machinery, planning, and customer projects.
Must have:

  • Coach, guide, and develop team members, including training plans and performance reviews.
  • Manage recruitment, selection, and disciplinary policy for new colleagues.
  • Organize weekly 'pit stops' and monthly team meetings.
  • Ensure safety, order, and cleanliness in the department.
  • Act as a technical point of contact and liaison to the Technical Manager.
  • Analyze technical problems and support R&D and quality projects.
  • Assess technical/economic repairability and determine repair pricing.
  • Manage machinery and facilities, including maintenance and cost tracking.
  • Create efficient planning aligned with purchasing priorities and technical skills.
  • Monitor lead times and ensure timely availability of parts.
  • Analyze and optimize remanufacturing times and process standards.
  • Oversee customer projects, balancing output with regular operations.

Job Details

As Teamleader Reman, you are responsible for the practical organization and follow-up of your team, which is responsible for the inspection and repairs of parts for, among other things, forklifts, aerial work platforms, telehandlers, and small earthmoving machines. You lead a team of about twenty employees, mainly experienced mechanics and technicians (A2 to bachelor).

By collaborating with fellow team leaders, the Operations Manager, and the Technical Manager, you ensure higher quality and efficiency in the processing of parts. You also take an active role in improvement projects that contribute to the growth of the department.

Your role and responsibilities

Your priority is leading your team: you monitor them, adjust where necessary, and optimally deploy employees based on their competencies. You coach and guide your team members, develop training plans (both technical and personal development), organize performance reviews, and identify training needs. You are also responsible for the recruitment and selection of new colleagues and monitor the disciplinary policy.

You organize weekly 'pit stops' and monthly team meetings to optimize progress and collaboration. In addition, you are responsible for safety, order, and cleanliness in your department and set an example in this regard.

For your department, you are the technical point of contact and liaison to the Technical Manager. You analyze technical problems, contribute to solutions, and support R&D and quality projects. You are ultimately responsible for assessing technical or economic repairability, pricing repairs (including margin), and monitoring repair costs.

You also have an important process responsibility:

  • Management of the machinery and facilities (maintenance, repairs, cost tracking)
  • Creation of efficient planning in line with purchasing priorities, capacity, and technical skills
  • Monitoring of lead times and ensuring parts are available on time
  • Analysis and optimization of remanufacturing times and process standards
  • Operational follow-up of customer projects, balancing project output with regular operations.

Your profile

  • You have a technical bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar leadership role
  • You are fluent in Dutch and can express yourself well in French
  • You are a people manager with strong communication skills, who motivates employees and manages them appropriately
  • You are stress-resistant, flexible, and have an eye for quality
  • You possess strong planning and organizational skills
