Job Description

The Technical Artist will be responsible for determining, preparing, and adapting graphical tools throughout the production of an unannounced project. Key responsibilities include creating new tools to meet production needs, ensuring their proper function, and providing technical support to the art team. The role also involves documenting tools, methods, and processes, collaborating with programmers, and addressing performance constraints across different platforms. Significant experience as a Technical Artist on an AA/AAA game production is required, along with strong skills in Houdini, procedural generation, and 3D software (3DS Max, Maya, Blender, Substance, Photoshop).
Must have:
  • Significant experience in Technical Art (AA/AAA)
  • Houdini mastery and procedural generation
  • Proficient in 3D software (3DS Max, Maya, Blender)
  • Problem-solving and proactive approach
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Description du poste

Sous la responsabilité du Lead Environment Artist en charge de votre suivi au quotidien, vous serez en charge de déterminer, préparer et adapter les outils graphiques utilisés tout au long de la production. 

Principales missions :  

  • Créer de nouveaux outils répondants aux besoins de la production et suivre leur déploiement en s’assurant du bon fonctionnement durant toute la durée de la production 

  • Produire la documentation technique sur les outils, les méthodes, les process et les contraintes moteur pour consultation ultérieure 

  • Fournir un support à l’équipe lorsqu’elle rencontre des problématiques techniques liées au pipeline artistique 

  • Agir en support du Directeur Technique World au sujet des contraintes de performance des différentes plateformes en garantissant la stabilité de la build 

  • Agir en interlocuteur·trice entre l’équipe graphique et l’équipe de programmation de manière autonome sur les tâches qui vous sont assignées 

Qualifications

  • Expérience significative en tant que Technical Artist sur une production de jeu AA/AAA 

  • Excellente maîtrise d’Houdini et des technologies de génération procédurale 

  • Bonne maîtrise des logiciels 3D (3DSMax, Maya, Blender, Substance, Photoshop…) 

  • Bonnes capacités d’autonomie et d’organisation, profil proactif et problem-solver 

  • Bon niveau d’anglais
