Litmus is seeking a Technical Product Owner to oversee the development of its core products. This role bridges product management and engineering, translating product vision into actionable development plans. Responsibilities include product definition, planning, drafting detailed specifications, and collaborating with UI/UX teams. The position involves Agile program management, leading cross-functional teams, managing sprint schedules, and ensuring on-time delivery by identifying and mitigating risks. The Technical Product Owner will also collaborate with engineering teams, debating technical approaches and identifying scalable implementation methods. Additionally, they will ensure smooth product releases, contribute to testing, and validate quality before customer release.
Must have:
  • 8-10 years in project/program management
  • 3+ years Agile experience (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Strong Kubernetes (K8S) experience
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence
  • Knowledge of full project/product/SDLC
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams
Good to have:
  • Industrial domain knowledge
  • Hands-on mentality for data analysis and debugging

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Product Owner to orchestrate the development of our core products. This individual will act as the crucial link between product management and engineering, responsible for translating product vision into actionable development plans. The ideal candidate is an expert in Agile methodologies who enjoys managing complex programs with many moving parts and is passionate about driving the efficient execution of our product roadmap, from detailed specification to final release.

Role’s Responsibilities:

  • Product Definition & Planning:
    • Work closely with Product Managers and leadership to ensure accurate assessment, prioritization, and visibility of near and long-term product programs.
    • Draft detailed specifications for every new feature and for enhancements to existing features.
    • Collaborate with the UI/UX team to design and refine product mock-ups.
  • Agile Program Management
    • Lead and orchestrate multiple cross-functional programs, in collaboration with technical teams including product management, engineering, UI/UX, QA, and DevOps.
    • Embrace and champion the principles of Agile development to lead highly efficient development teams.
    • Prepare product component sprint schedules and define key development milestones for Pods.
    • Manage and facilitate team meetings and initiatives to effectively develop plans and achieve committed goals.
    • Track and report progress against the plan, proactively identifying and mitigating risks and removing blockers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Engineering Collaboration:
    • Act as the primary point of contact for development cycles, proactively engaging with Developers and Engineering Leads.
    • Identify gaps in solutions, debate technical approaches, and weigh in on the most scalable and repeatable implementation methods.
  • Release & Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure all new products and features are released to the market smoothly and efficiently.
    • Contribute to the hands-on testing of products and solutions through different phases (e.g., internal testing, user acceptance testing) to ensure quality before release to customers and partners..

Role’s Desired Qualifications:

  • 8 – 10 years of experience in project and program management, with a proven track record of leading large-scale software product projects with engineering and product teams.
  • More than 3 years of hands-on experience with Agile project management and process improvement methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • A deep understanding of the entire project lifecycle, product lifecycle, and software development lifecycle (SDLC) is required.
  • Mandatory strong, hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8S) and a solid foundation of industrial domain knowledge.
  • High proficiency in project and portfolio management tools, specifically Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects across cross-functional and remote teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating complex release schedules.
  • A "hands-on" mentality with the ability to pull data to provide insight, debug issues, and monitor system health when needed.
