Job Summary
We are seeking a Head of Technology to lead the technology organization for a fintech-focused venture. This strategic role will oversee software engineering, architecture, DevOps, and infrastructure, ensuring compliance with SAMA regulations and alignment with innovation and growth objectives. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of technology leadership experience, a proven track record in fintech or regulated industries, and the ability to scale high-performing tech teams while driving secure, user-centric digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technology organization including software development, architecture, DevOps, and infrastructure.
- Define and execute the technology strategy and roadmap in line with business innovation goals.
- Ensure compliance with SAMA regulations, cybersecurity frameworks, and data protection standards.
- Oversee system architecture, technical design, and code quality for scalable, resilient solutions.
- Manage the end-to-end technology lifecycle – planning, development, deployment, and support.
- Partner with business, compliance, and product leaders to deliver secure, user-centric solutions.
- Drive adoption of modern fintech technologies: APIs, microservices, AI, open banking, cloud.
- Establish best practices in testing, QA, DevOps, and monitoring for system reliability.
- Champion agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) for efficiency and adaptability.
- Mentor and grow the technology team, fostering innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Act as a strategic advisor to executive leadership, translating emerging tech into competitive advantage.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of technology leadership experience, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles (software engineering, fintech, or banking).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or IT (Master’s preferred).
- Strong expertise in software engineering, system architecture, DevOps, and IT governance.
- Proven success in leading technology teams in fintech, banking, or other regulated industries.
- Deep knowledge of SAMA regulations, cybersecurity, and data protection laws.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, APIs, and digital platforms.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence executive decisions.
- High integrity, resilience, and ability to thrive in fast-paced, regulated environments.
