Job Description

The Traffic / Shipping Coordinator II, under daily direction from the department lead, handles shipping, receiving, and electronic processing of orders. Key responsibilities include inventory management, picking/packing items, loading/unloading trucks, participating in cycle counts, and maintaining a safe work environment. This role also supports material handlers and contributes to creating standards and processes.
Good To Have:
  • Experience working in an inventory distribution or shipping & receiving environment.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP or other inventory software.
  • Previous forklift experience.
Must Have:
  • Physical shipping and receiving of items to/from internal and external customers globally.
  • Computer based inventory processing and document preparation.
  • Works with material handlers as a labor resource when needed.
  • Fulfills product orders, including picking, packing and shipment of products when necessary.
  • Loading and unloading trucks via forklift or palette jack when needed.
  • Participates in cycle counts.
  • Maintain an organized and safe environment with routine housekeeping in all work areas.
  • Works with the management as a subject matter expert in the creation of standards & processes.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must have experience using a personal computer.
  • Must possess organizational & time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, in the English language.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people with varying levels of education, expertise and backgrounds.
  • Ability to become SG certified on forklifts.

Position Summary

The Traffic / Shipping Coordinator II takes daily direction from the department lead and serves as a backup to the lead when necessary. Responsibilities include shipping, receiving, and electronic processing of orders. Putting away inventory and picking / packing items for orders.

Job Functions:

  • Physical shipping and receiving of items to/from internal and external customers globally.
  • Computer based inventory processing and document preparation.
  • Works with material handlers as a labor resource when needed.
  • Fulfills product orders, including picking, packing and shipment of products when necessary.
  • Loading and unloading trucks via forklift or palette jack when needed.
  • Participates in cycle counts.
  • Maintain an organized and safe environment with routine housekeeping in all work areas.
  • Works with the management as a subject matter expert in the creation of standards & processes.
  • Perform all other duties assigned.

Position Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Experience working in an inventory distribution or shipping & receiving environment is desired but not required.
