We exist to Inspire the World to Play. We create extraordinary new game experiences for our millions of players everywhere by bringing together people that combine creativity, innovation, and passion. Our mission is to attract and grow a more diverse employee base through the cultivation of our early talent pipeline to shape EA's teams, culture and products. Within Europe, we create an overall enriching experience, empowering interns and graduates with the sense that "EA is where I want to be".

The Challenge Ahead

We are DICE, the award-winning studio based in Stockholm, Sweden, best known for creating the phenomenally successful 20-years old Battlefield franchise. We believe our people are the backbone and driving force to our creative products, and are always looking for diverse game creators to help us build the best Battlefield experiences and make our studio the best in the industry.

We're looking for a VFX Intern like yourself to join us in our mission to create amazing games and experiences, and to improve ourselves and our craft.

Responsibilities:

As an intern you are new to the industry and here to learn. We encourage you to use your internship to explore the profession, try new things, develop as a person, and not focus solely on performing. As an intern we don't expect you to be productive straight away. Learning the tools and workflows will take time. The most important thing is for you to be curious, ask questions and learn. Once you are ready to take on production tasks, your Lead, manager and mentors will guide and assist you along the way.

You are also:

  • Supported in learning the workflows of VFX and to grow as much as possible.

  • Encouraged to get to know the team, ask questions and seek feedback.

  • Recommended to try out different areas of VFX to get a better idea of what you would like to do in the future.

Qualifications:

  • What we look for in an intern is passion for our craft and a fundamental understanding of the workflows related to VFX.

  • You must be currently enrolled at a university or education provider that has a planned internship period planned. For example, LiA.

  • Eligible to work in Stockholm, Sweden, without the need for visa/relocation support

  • Available to start in September 2024

Desired Skills:

  • An understanding/curiosity of how things work in real-life, an artistic eye and a sense of tempo and timing in both motion and unfolding of events.

  • An understanding of computer graphics pipeline and a solid foundation in realtime VFX, with experience in industry standard tools and software packages.

  • An understanding of creating with both performance and time constraints in mind.

  • A mindset excited by challenges and curiosity to learn new technologies and ways to do things better or faster.

  • Past collaboration experience, such as situations where you have had to seek and act on feedback and collaborate with other crafts.
