Primary Duties: The artist shall develop 3-D graphics and animation elements for a wide variety of multimedia visual information products. You will advise the client regarding the development, planning, coordination, execution, and oversight of 3-D multimedia/interactive projects. The artist is responsible for:
- Visually translating complex, abstract concepts into final product for consumption by audiences of diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Recommending the best approaches to integrate 3-D components into final commercial quality products.
- Planning and coordinating the various phases of assigned 3-D projects from concept development to integration into final PSYOP products, programs, and activities.
- Eliciting and interpreting broad conceptual guidance from stake holders and using their expertise, experience, and judgment, propose, develop, and integrate 3-D components into complex multimedia/interactive products.
- Researching reference sources and consult with SMEs to ensure that accurate 3-D products are developed based on Target Audience culture, norms, values, and perceptions.
- Supporting other members of project teams as required to complete deliverables.
- Communication and leadership skills to be a Team Lead and knowledge to be Alternate Production Coordinator if needed.
- Education: Bachelor's degree (preferable) or 3-D Accredited Training Certification and six (6) years of 3-D animation experience.
- Knowledge in the animation and building of 3-D objects, models, textures, lighting, characters, environments, and scenes.
- Experienced in the use of Motion Capture devices and for modeling, texturing, animation, and lighting 3-D objects, characters, environments, facial/limb animation, and scenes.
- Excellent understanding of workflow processes and be capable of creating and integrating 3-D content into the production environment utilizing Adobe Create Suite software applications.
- Experience working in Cinema 4D/Maya/Blender or other 3D software.
- Experience with AfterEffects and either Premiere or Avid.
- Familiarity with Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
