Job Description & Summary

A career in our Immersive Technology practice, within PwC’s Emerging Technology labs, will provide you with a unique opportunity to help our clients identify and leverage emerging technologies, such as 3D visualization, immersive technologies, and interactive environments, to solve complex business challenges. We help clients design approaches to integrate new technologies, skills, and processes to drive business results and innovation in immersive experiences.
Our team helps organisations to embrace emerging technologies to remain competitive and improve their business by solving complex questions. Our team focuses on identifying and prioritizing emerging technologies, breaking into new markets, and preparing clients to get the most out of their emerging technology investments. This includes designing 3D environments, building interactive prototypes, and ensuring clients maximize the benefits of their investments in immersive tech.

Prototyping

• Conceptualize and develop 3D assets and environments for immersive experiences.

• Collaborate in the creation of 3D visualizations, simulations, and prototypes for use in client solutions.

• Leverage 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and animation tools to deliver high-quality visual assets.

• Utilize industry-standard software such as Blender, Maya, Unreal Engine, Unity, Substance Painter, or similar tools to develop and optimize 3D content.

• Research and experiment with emerging technologies to evaluate their potential impact on PwC's services and clients, with a focus on 3D applications in immersive tech.

Research and Development:

• Ideate, research, and prototype 3D solutions using immersive technologies (VR/AR/XR) tailored to PwC’s clients' business challenges.

• Stay updated on the latest trends in 3D technology, immersive experiences, and virtual production tools.

• Conduct R&D on how 3D assets and simulations can enhance user engagement and solve business problems across industries.

• Evaluate the integration of immersive 3D technology into existing business models and identify opportunities for innovation.

Planning:

• Plan and manage the development phases of 3D prototypes, ensuring high-quality output within defined project timelines.

• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of 3D assets and immersive technology prototypes.

• Identify and mitigate risks associated with 3D content creation and immersive project development.

• Communicate project updates and progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Technical Skills:

• Expertise in 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and animation.

• Knowledge of AR/VR/XR content development, including spatial computing and interactive 3D environments.

• Experience with performance optimization for 3D models and environments across multiple platforms (mobile, desktop, VR).

• Familiarity with emerging immersive technologies and their applications in business environments, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the Internet of Things (IoT).

• Proficiency in relevant programming languages, such as C#, C++, or Python, and experience with scripting for interactive environments (e.g., Unity, Unreal Engine).

Documentation and Reporting:

• Document the entire 3D asset development process, including ideation, design, modeling, testing, and deployment phases.

• Maintain accurate records of project timelines, budgets, and resources used in the creation of 3D prototypes.

• Generate insights and reports from 3D immersive projects and present findings to internal and external stakeholders.

Lab and Team Collaboration:

• Set up and maintain immersive 3D environments in PwC's lab, ensuring smooth functionality and organization.

• Work collaboratively with the team to solve technical challenges and provide guidance on 3D content development.

• Support fellow team members with their own 3D projects and assist in troubleshooting 3D-specific technical issues.

• Foster an innovative and collaborative culture, encouraging continuous learning and experimentation with new 3D tools and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, 3D Animation, Product Design, or a related field preferred.
