Description

We are seeking a talented and versatile 3D Artist/Animator to join our team in developing exciting open worlds, adventure and casual games.

You will be responsible for creating 3D model (Simple characters, vehicles, environments) and bringing them to life through engaging animations. If you are passionate about both the artistic and technical aspects of game development, and you love working on dynamic, immersive game worlds, we’d love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • 3D Modeling:
    • Create high-quality 3D models for characters, environments, vehicles, props, and other game assets in accordance with the art style and technical requirements of the project.
    • Develop textures and materials that bring your models to life, ensuring they are optimized for in-game performance.
  • Rigging and Skinning:
    • Rig models for animation, creating skeletons and control rigs for characters, vehicles, and other objects.
    • Ensure proper skinning of characters to enable realistic deformations during animation.
  • Animation:
    • Animate characters, vehicles, and other game elements, using keyframe animation or motion capture data to bring them to life in the game.
    • Work on various animations, including character movement (walking, running, jumping), combat, facial expressions, and environmental effects.
    • Create dynamic and engaging animations that match the game’s tone and visual style.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the game designers and programmers to ensure animations integrate seamlessly with the gameplay and mechanics.
    • Implement animations into the game engine (Unity) and troubleshoot any technical issues that arise.
  • Optimization:
    • Ensure all models and animations are optimized for performance across multiple platforms (Mobile, and console) while maintaining visual quality.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a 3D artist or animator in the gaming industry or related field.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software (Blender or Maya ) and texturing tools (e.g., Substance Painter, Photoshop).
  • Experience with rigging and character setup for animation.
  • Strong skills in keyframe animation for characters, vehicles, and other game elements.
  • Familiarity with animation principles such as timing, weight, and pose-to-pose animation.
  • Experience working in a game engine like Unity or Unreal Engine to implement and optimize animations.
  • Solid understanding of low-poly modeling, UV mapping, and texture optimization for real-time rendering.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and feedback.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in vehicle animation and dynamic environmental elements.
  • Knowledge of shader creation and visual effects (VFX) to enhance animations and models.
  • Passion for creating engaging open world gameplay and understanding of open world game mechanics.

Portfolio Requirement:

Please provide a portfolio demonstrating:

  • 3D models (characters, environments, vehicles, etc.) with wireframes and texture examples.
  • Animation work showing character movement, facial animation, and object/vehicle interactions.
  • Any rigging and skinning examples, if available.
  • In-game footage or videos showing how your animations work in a game engine.
