Job Summary
As an Account Executive for Spellbook's SMB team, you will manage the entire sales cycle, from qualifying inbound leads to closing deals. This role involves conducting discovery calls, demonstrating product value, maintaining CRM data, and collaborating cross-functionally to enhance sales processes and achieve revenue goals. You will leverage a strong product-market fit and marketing engine to engage high-quality leads for Spellbook, an AI copilot for transactional lawyers.
Must Have
- Conduct discovery and onboarding calls to identify client needs.
- Follow up with prospects throughout the sales cycle to ensure their requirements are met.
- Demonstrate the value of our products and services to potential buyers.
- Contribute to the enhancement of our sales processes and documentation.
- Maintain accurate and timely data in our CRM system.
- Cultivate long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal teams.
- Work cross-functionally with IT to complete any RFP or security questionnaires.
- Collaborate within and outside of the Sales team to share knowledge and improve practices.
- Relay feedback from prospects to our product team.
- 2+ years of quota-carrying sales experience, ideally in SaaS or B2B environments.
- A self-starter who excels at prospecting, managing pipelines, and closing deals.
- Strong ability to understand customer pain points and position solutions.
- Articulate and persuasive, with the ability to deliver compelling pitches and handle objections.
- Proficient with tools like HubSpot, or equivalent for pipeline management and forecasting.
- Driven by a desire to excel with a track record of exceptional performance.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As an Account Executive for our SMB team, you'll play a key role in every aspect of the sales cycle. You will qualify inbound leads, deliver presentations, negotiate deals, and close deals—all from day one. With a powerful marketing engine and a strong product-market fit driving significant inbound demand, you’ll be assigned high-quality leads eager to make a purchase.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct discovery and onboarding calls to identify client needs.
- Follow up with prospects throughout the sales cycle to ensure their requirements are met.
- Demonstrate the value of our products and services to potential buyers.
- Contribute to the enhancement of our sales processes and documentation for yourself and others.
- Maintain accurate and timely data in our CRM system to ensure our records are up-to-date.
- Cultivate long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships with external contacts and internal teams to enhance the customer experience.
- Work cross-functionally with IT to complete any RFP or security questionnaires as part of the sales cycle.
- Collaborate within and outside of the Sales team to share knowledge, learnings and continuously improve sales practices.
- Relay feedback from prospects to our product team to inform future developments.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by management that contribute to the improvement of the sales team or achievement of revenue goals, including but not limited to attending events/conferences or hosting internal training sessions.
- Other responsibilities as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
