The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments and managing corporate Travel and Expense reimbursements. This role involves overseeing the accounts payable team, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and financial regulations. The ideal candidate will prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, support audit processes, and ensure accurate 1099 reporting. They will also identify opportunities for process improvements and collaborate with other departments to streamline operations.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of AP experience.
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of AP processes.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle Cloud).
  • Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines.

Join us as an Accounts Payable Manager, and help us do what we do best: propelling business forward.  This will be a role working out of your home office in the United States, however due to team location, we need candidates to be in EST or CST.
 
We are looking for a seasoned Accounts Payable Manager to join our North America team. This role is crucial in ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments, as well as managing corporate Travel and Expense reimbursements. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills with attention to detail, exceptional organizational abilities, and sharp analytical skills to improve AP processes and uphold compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. Additionally, this individual will help maintain accurate vendor records, support audit activities, and ensure accurate 1099 reporting.

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices and payments.
  • Supervision and Team Management: Oversee and direct the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Administer T&E policies; review & approve employee expense reports for compliance.
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including the accounts payable ledger and general ledger, and ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, monitor aging reports, and support audit processes. Support the close. Ensure accurate and timely preparation and filing of 1099s and other tax documents.
  • Process Improvement and Efficiency: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to optimize workflow and improve efficiency.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, procurement, and accounting, to streamline operations and resolve issues.

Your background:

  • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or a related accounting/finance role.
  • 3+ years of management or supervisory experience in an accounting department
  • Strong knowledge of AP processes, general accounting principles, and internal controls.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (Oracle Cloud).
  • Excel proficiency (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
  • Understanding of tax regulations, vendor management, and financial reporting may be a plus.
