Job Description

Aptiv is seeking an Advanced Technical Leader to help shape the future of mobility by creating advanced safety, electrification, and data connectivity solutions. This role involves architecting and developing low-level software components for automotive SoCs, implementing OS-level primitives, designing IPC mechanisms, and working on real-time and safety-critical applications across various operating systems and frameworks. The leader will contribute to a world with zero vehicle accidents, emissions, and seamless connectivity.
Must Have:
  • Architect and develop low-level software components for automotive SoCs.
  • Implement OS-level primitives like threads, semaphores, mutexes, and socket programming.
  • Design and optimize IPC mechanisms including named pipes and shared memory.
  • Develop and maintain device drivers for camera, vision pipeline, and embedded file operations.
  • Work on Linux, QNX, VxWorks system programming for real-time and safety-critical applications.
  • Utilize frameworks such as GStreamer, OpenVX, and OpenCL for vision and multimedia pipelines.
  • Implement thread synchronization, queuing mechanisms, thread alignment, and inter-core communication.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration and validation on SoCs from TI, Renesas, NXP, Qualcomm.
  • Apply low-level software design patterns and logical problem-solving for complex embedded systems.
  • Manage version control and code review processes using Git and Gerrit.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive standards like ISO 26262 and AUTOSAR.

Your Role

  • Architect and develop low-level software components for automotive SoCs.
  • Implement OS-level primitives: threads, semaphores, mutexes, socket programming.

  • Device Drivers: Camera drivers, vision pipeline, embedded file operations. Thread Synchronization & Inter-Core Communication: Queuing mechanisms, thread alignment.
  • Version Control: Git, Gerrit.
  • SoC Experience: TI, Renesas, NXP, Qualcomm automotive SoCs.
  • OS Expertise: Linux system programming, QNX, VxWorks.
