AI Automation Engineer

Onward Search is looking to hire an AI Automation Engineer for a marketing leader. This is a 6–8 week contract, fully remote role. You will join the internal Creative and Marketing Operations team to build infrastructure for automating creative asset production, streamlining QA, and empowering the team to focus on creative work. This involves creating a repeatable, scalable system within Figma and Dropbox.

Must Have

• Map current creative workflow and automate it using Figma and Dropbox.
• Build a Figma-based system with master templates, locked legal fields, and smart export presets.
• Develop automation layers within Dropbox for standardized campaign folder structure and delivery.
• Integrate QA steps using automation and proofing workflows.
• Collaborate with creative and ops teams for fluency and seamless handoff.
• Provide documentation, automation guides, and live training.

You’ll join the internal Creative and Marketing Operations team to help build the infrastructure of speed—a repeatable, scalable system inside Figma and Dropbox that automates creative asset production, streamlines QA, and empowers the team to focus more on creative work and less on manual processes.

AI Automation Engineer Responsibilities:

• Map the current end-to-end creative workflow from brief to delivery and rewire it as a single, automated process using Figma and Dropbox.
• Build a Figma-based system with master templates, locked legal fields, and smart export presets that automate asset naming and sizing.
• Develop automation layers within Dropbox to standardize campaign folder structure and delivery.
• Integrate quality assurance (QA) steps using automation and proofing workflows to ensure every asset is client-ready by default.
• Collaborate with the creative and ops teams to build fluency and ensure seamless handoff and usability.
• Provide documentation, automation guides, and live training to support system adoption.

AI Automation Engineer Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in workflow automation, AI-assisted design systems, or creative technology roles.
• Proficiency in Figma, with hands-on experience building smart templates and scalable design systems.
• Strong experience using Dropbox or similar platforms for automated file management and delivery pipelines.
• Proven ability to automate manual steps in creative workflows using no-code or low-code tools.
• Experience training creative or marketing teams on new tools and processes.
• Familiarity with AI QA tools, proofing layers, or generative design assistance (preferred).

*Eligibility requires working over 30 hours per week on an assignment lasting at least 10 weeks.
