Overview

Senior Associate Alloy Data Base Engineer

As a Senior Associate Alloy Data Base Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions. You will work with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud-based systems.

Your Impact

• Implementation experience of all areas of Google Cloud Platform services including security, IAM, Lifecycle, observability, networking etc), which can include configurations, automations, pipelines and integrations. Prior experience with GCP Landing Zone design is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with designing/implementing workload isolation
• Hands-on experience designing/implementing operational visibility
• GCP certification
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing GCP infrastructure with Terraform. Ability to write advanced and reusable terraform modules.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD Pipelines in a globally distributed environment using Git, Artifactory or equivalent repository, Jenkins or equivalent, Google Container registry, Prometheus, Grafana, and deploying applications on GCP
• Establish VPC connectivity, Configure network rules and security policies
• Knowledge of common GCP services, GKE, Cloud Run, GCR, Google Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, AlloyDB for PostgreSQL, DNS, VPC, Cloud Monitoring, etc.
• Hands-on Python and Unix shell scripting is required.

Nice to have:

• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) and/or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
• Experience using Kubernetes (container orchestration platforms) such as EKS/GKE/AKS.
• Experience with Service Mesh technologies (Istio or Linkerd).

Qualifications

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and management
• Experience with designing and implementation of workload isolation
• Experience with design and implementation of operational visibility
• Hands on experience with Helm charts
• Hands-on experience with GCP Cloud Platform
• Knowledge of common GCP services like GKE, ECR, EMR, RDS, Docker, S3
• Experience with Service Mesh technologies like Istio or Linkerd
• Strong knowledge of cloud networking, security, and storage services.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Kubernetes infrastructure and Terraform Enterprise
• Proficiency in writing advanced reuseable terraform modules
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines in a globally distributed environment using Git, Artifactory, Jenkins, Docker registry, ELK and deploying application on GCP
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS
• Certification in Kubernetes administration (CKA) and or Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
• Experience establishing connectivity and scaling elastically
• Strong scripting skills in Python, and Unix shell scripting
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for CI/CD automation
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or related course of study required or equivalent work experience. Related master's degree a plus

Additional information

Annual Pay Range- USD $113,000- USD $165,000

The range shown represents a grouping of relevant ranges currently in use at Publicis Sapient. Actual range for this position may differ, depending on location and specific skillset required for the work.
