Tech Stack

The Candidate

We’re looking to scale up our engineering team to help expand our product offering. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to join an early stage start up to help shape the direction of the team & help get brand new projects off the ground.

We want individuals who have great ideas and are keen to share them. We already have a strong core team & this is a great opportunity to collaborate with engineers who have a whole range & depth of different experiences.

What you will be doing

• Working on brand new products & services as well as helping develop our core API platform.
• Actively participating in code review & testing the features of your fellow engineers.
• Participating in an on-call rotation. Our goal is to prioritize stability & minimize the need for this but it is a responsibility that we will all share as a team.
• Helping define & shape our tech stack, culture, standards & more.

What we are looking for

Formal qualifications are great but by no means essential, so don’t worry if you don’t have a Computer Science degree. We are looking for individuals with a passion for technology & software craftsmanship and who are always keen to learn new skills.

Essential

• 3+ years of commercial experience working with Typescript on a web technology product (website, API or similar)
• Experience working on both frontend & backend projects
• Familiarity with writing unit tests using a modern testing framework (E.g. Jest / Ava / Node-Tap)
• Commercial experience working with a modern frontend framework (Svelte, React, Vue, Angular (modern not classic))
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future employer sponsorship.
• Based in Texas (strongly preferred)
• Ability to work effectively remotely. We are a fully remote team & we believe this is the most effective model for us & it offers great benefits, allowing people to fit their personal lives more easily around their work lives; but we appreciate this is not for everyone so please only apply if you are comfortable working fully remotely.
