The NXP Secure Connected Edge Business Line is seeking an Analog Design Manager to lead a new team of 20-25 engineers in Catania, Italy. This role involves developing mixed-signal and analog IP for IIOT MCU products, overseeing IP development, and implementing reuse strategies. The manager will collaborate with the Design Management Team, ensure compliance with quality standards, deploy new methodologies, and foster team growth. Strong leadership, technical expertise in analog design, and excellent communication skills are essential for driving innovation and excellence within the R&D group.

Must Have

The R&D group is growing, and we are recruiting an Analog Design manager to lead a team to develop mixed signal and analog IP in support for the IIOT MCU business.

You will take part of the creation of the team to recruit, develop and lead a new team of ~20-25 covering architecture, analog design, DMS/AMS, layout and will deliver into IIOT MCU SOC products.

As the leader of an Analog Team of around 15 designers within a mixed-signal design group, you’ll take responsibility for driving innovation and excellence. The role involves overseeing IP development and implementing an efficient reuse strategy to optimize design processes.

Collaboration is key: you’ll work closely with the Design Management Team and Design Leaders to manage resource allocation and planning for new product developments. Ensuring compliance with design flow and quality standards will be part of your daily focus.

This position calls for a proactive mindset. You’ll identify and deploy new methodologies and tools, keeping a constant eye on state-of-the-art practices and advanced verification techniques. Guiding your team’s growth in line with competence and development strategies will be central to your mission.

Your Profile:

Education:

Master’s degree in electronic or electrical engineering

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of hands-on experience in the design of analog blocks and systems.
  • Proven track record in leading and managing global teams

Technical Expertise:

  • Deep understanding of analog circuit design, verification, and integration within complex systems.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard tools and methodologies for analog design.

Leadership & Management:

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, mentor, and develop talent.
  • Excellent decision-making capabilities and ability to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Experience in defining team KPIs, monitoring performance, and implementing continuous improvement.

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Team-oriented mindset, comfortable working with cross-functional teams (digital design, layout, test, product engineering).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.
