Equipment Engineer - Tester

NXP Semiconductors is seeking an Equipment Engineer - Tester to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize semiconductor test equipment, ensuring high reliability and efficiency in our manufacturing operations.

Must Have

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on semiconductor test equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues related to electrical, mechanical, and software components.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify root causes of equipment failures.
• Participate in the installation, qualification, and calibration of new test equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance, analyze data, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop and update maintenance procedures, documentation, and training materials.
• Support process improvements and technology transfers.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards within a cleanroom environment.
• Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of electronics, electrical schematics, and mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues.
• Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and safety regulations.

• Experience with programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C++) for test equipment control.

• Participate in the installation, qualification, and calibration of new test equipment.
• Monitor equipment performance, analyze data, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance uptime, yield, and throughput.
• Develop and update maintenance procedures, documentation, and training materials for technicians.
• Support process improvements and technology transfers, ensuring equipment readiness for new product introductions.
