Serve as a System Validation Engineer for next-generation driver and occupant monitoring systems, ensuring the quality and reliability of camera- and radar-based systems. This role involves developing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test environments, executing rigorous manual and automated system tests, and accurately recording results. Responsibilities also include initial analysis of issues, collaborating with OEMs for joint validation, and reporting deviations to the System Test Lead.
Must Have
- Practical experience in system testing or validation in the automotive industry (3+ years)
- Test automation skills using scripting languages such as Python or C++
- Knowledge of automotive test tools (CANoe, CANalyzer) and in-vehicle communication protocols (CAN, Automotive Ethernet)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills using methods such as FTA and FMEA
- Experience using version control systems such as Git
- Knowledge of embedded systems (software and hardware)
- Practical experience in requirements analysis and test case creation
- Knowledge of automotive process models (ASPICE, V-model)
- Low business-level Japanese proficiency
- Business-level English proficiency

Mission:
- Serve as a System Validation Engineer for next-generation driver and occupant monitoring systems
- Ensure the quality and reliability of camera- and radar-based systems
- Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test environments that cover all system requirements
- Execute rigorous testing and ensure the consistency and accuracy of results
Responsibilities
1) Test Strategy & Specification:
- Understand and analyze system requirements and collaborate with system engineers to create test plans that include camera and radar functions, ensuring complete coverage
- Develop and maintain clear, reusable test cases for functions such as driver monitoring, fatigue detection, and occupant classification
- Participate in the review of test-related documents to verify correctness and consistency, enhancing overall quality
2) Test Environment & Execution:
- Lead the definition and construction of test environment requirements, maintaining validation environments including HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and vehicle-level testing
- Execute manual and automated system tests according to defined scope and strategy
- Accurately record and manage test results, nonconformities, logs, and performance metrics
3) Analysis & Reporting:
- Perform initial analysis and troubleshooting of issues encountered during testing, providing detailed information to support the development team in identifying root causes
- Collaborate directly with OEMs to conduct system tests and joint validation activities
- Report issues or deviations, including proposed solutions, to the System Test Lead
- Support the completion of testing activities in line with project milestones
Business Travel
- Approximately once per week (day trips) to Tsukuba
- Some system testing is conducted in Tsukuba.

Required
