Job Summary

Join a team specializing in aeronautical and naval radionavigation, radiocommunication, and satellite communication systems and equipment. You will integrate into a team of 20 employees in Brive la Gaillarde, focusing on the development, integration, and testing of V/UHF aeronautical and naval radiocommunication products. This role involves hardware and software integration, technical analysis, writing test procedures, performing functional and performance tests, participating in environmental test campaigns, writing test reports, and providing technical support to production teams.

Must Have

  • Perform hardware and software integration activities
  • Analyze and investigate technical problems, updating technical facts in JIRA
  • Contribute to writing test procedures (functional, performance, and environmental)
  • Perform functional and radio performance verification tests
  • Participate in climatic, mechanical, and EMC environmental test campaigns
  • Contribute to writing test reports
  • Provide technical support to production teams by mastering equipment operation
  • At least 3 years of experience in developing and/or testing radiocommunication products
  • Skills in radio characteristics of a transmitter/receiver and associated measurement methods
  • Skills in digital communications and complex modulations

Your daily life

Our teams specialize in aeronautical and naval radionavigation, radiocommunication, and satellite communication systems and equipment. At the heart of Corrèze, the site's activity, primarily industrial, covers the entire product life cycle, from the design phase to customer support.

You will integrate into a team of 20 employees based in Brive la Gaillarde (19) in charge of the development, integration, and testing activities for V/UHF aeronautical and naval radiocommunication products.

As such, you will:

  • Perform hardware and software integration activities, analyses or investigations in case of technical problems, by writing/updating technical facts in the JIRA database.
  • Contribute to the writing of test procedures (functional, performance, and environmental tests).
  • Perform functional and radio performance verification tests.
  • Participate in climatic, mechanical, and EMC environmental test campaigns.
  • Contribute to the writing of test reports.
  • Provide technical support to production teams by mastering the operation of the equipment and its components.

Occasional travel is to be expected to various Thales sites and to subcontractors (test laboratories).

Your profile

Engineer/Bac+5 degree, you have at least 3 years of experience in the development and/or testing of radiocommunication products and you have skills in:

  • Radio characteristics of a radio transmitter/receiver and associated measurement methods.
  • Digital communications and complex modulations.

Do you have knowledge of SDR architectures and notions of aeronautical radiocommunication standards?
