Job Description
This Application Engineering role involves optimizing product design, improving functionality, and reducing costs through value analysis and engineering. Key responsibilities include leading wiring harness system design for automotive applications using CAD tools like CATIA, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks. The role also covers managing design changes, generating engineering documentation, participating in all product development phases, and managing Bill of Materials (BOM) with PLM software.
Must Have:
- Conduct value analysis and value engineering activities
- Lead and contribute to the design and development of wiring harness systems for automotive applications
- Utilize CAD tools such as CATIA, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks to create detailed wiring harness designs
- Manage design changes throughout the product development lifecycle
- Generate and release engineering drawings, schematics, and charts
- Participate in all phases of product development
- Utilize PLM software to manage product data, documentation, and revisions
- Manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) for assigned projects
- Coordinate changes to the BOM and communicate updates to relevant teams and suppliers
Major Accountabilities:

- Participate in all phases of product development, including concept design, prototyping, testing, and validation.
- Utilize PLM software to manage product data, documentation, and revisions throughout the product lifecycle.
- Manage the Bill of Materials (BOM) for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with engineering specifications.
- Coordinate changes to the BOM and communicate updates to relevant teams and suppliers.
