Software Engineer - Data Analyst

Salesforce is looking for talented, innovative, and passionate software engineers to join our highly skilled Corporate Strategy team.

We are looking for engineers who get an immense amount of pleasure in seeing how their ideas enable others to move fast and have a huge impact on the business. Responsibilities

• Design, validate, and implement new projects, modules, and features across all tiers: database, integrations, business logic, core services and user experience.
• Learn about our customers, business processes, and outcomes while providing support
• Resolve complex technical issues and drive innovation that improves system availability, scalability, resiliency, and performance
• Be a great team player and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve common goals.

What you’ll achieve:

1 month:

• Complete your onboarding process.
• Become comfortable with the team's active projects and development processes.
• Become comfortable with business processes and requirements.
• Start cutting code!

3 months:

• Gain confidence with our architecture.
• Participate in solution designs.
• Know the business, stakeholders and customers.
• Code productively.

6 months

• Complete requirements on your own with little assistance.
• Able to identify bugs and propose high-quality solutions and new requirements.

What you’ll need to be successful

• Strong back-end development experience with an in-depth understanding of OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and concurrency
• Great engineering skills, and elegance in your work
• A strong sense of ownership of the work you do and the belief in doing things the right way for the right reasons
• Proven track record of solving problems creatively
• A fanatical pursuit of quality with a strong appreciation for the connection between the software you build and the experience it delivers to customers
• A growth mindset and willingness to solve challenging problems and learn
• Deliver high-quality code in a fast-paced, dynamic agile team environment

Desired Skills (Non-Exclusive)

• Experience developing REST APIs
• Experience in UI development, i.e. React, Angular
• Experience with CI/CD
• Experience in agile software development, and short release cycles
• Experience building a high-performance, large-scale application
