Job Summary

Wolters Kluwer, a global technology company, is seeking an IT System Management Apprentice for its Backoffice team in Hürth, starting in August. The role focuses on enhancing internal applications like SAP and Salesforce. The apprentice will analyze existing processes, identify improvements, and support new solution implementations. Key responsibilities include assisting with software development and maintenance, defining requirements, creating technical documentation, performing tests, and managing external service providers. This position offers a dynamic environment to learn and contribute to critical business systems.

Must Have

  • Support ERP and software development and maintenance.
  • Analyze and specify software requirements.
  • Create technical specifications and documentation.
  • Perform unit and integration tests, ensure quality.
  • Manage external service provider offers and appointments.
  • Fachhochschulreife or Abitur (or IT dropouts).
  • High mathematical and technical understanding.
  • High comprehension for processes.
  • Good Microsoft 365 knowledge.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Very good German and good English (written/spoken).
  • Careful and responsible work ethic.

You will work in a team on the continuous improvement of our Backoffice applications such as SAP and Salesforce. You will analyze existing processes, identify optimization potential, and support the implementation of new solutions.

Your Tasks

  • Support in the development and maintenance of internal ERP systems and other software solutions
  • Analysis and specification of requirements for software solutions in cooperation with the specialist departments
  • Creation of technical specifications and requirement documents that describe the functions and requirements of the software
  • Execution of unit tests and integration tests as well as quality assurance of the developed applications
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation for process flows and user documentation
  • Obtaining offers from external service providers, appointment management, and steering of service providers

Your Profile

  • Ideally, you have a university of applied sciences entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife) or Abitur (high school diploma) (also gladly career changers from the field of computer science)
  • You have a high mathematical and technical understanding
  • Initial programming experience in languages such as Java, C# or Python is an advantage (but not a must)
  • You have a high comprehension, which helps you to grasp processes and procedures well
  • You enjoy working in a team and like changing challenges
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft 365
  • Good communication skills
  • You have high quality standards for your own performance, are flexible and feel comfortable in a dynamic environment
  • Very good German and good English language skills, both written and spoken, as well as a careful and responsible way of working complete your profile
