Job Summary

Join Our Team as an ASIC/FPGA Verification Engineer where you will work on the development of a sophisticated state-of-the-art avionics product in a world-class Integrated Product Development environment. The Silicon Solutions team is building the best ASIC/FPGA team, seeking a highly talented and motivated engineer passionate about microchip design and space. This role involves devising unique verification plans, using SystemVerilog and UVM in a Linux environment, documenting results, and collaborating with independent verification teams to resolve bugs. You will also support architecture, design, analysis, and test, and present to internal and external customers.

Must Have

  • ASIC/FPGA verification experience with modern methodologies (UVM, OVM, VMM)
  • 3+ years professional experience
  • US Citizenship (for DoD Secret clearance)
  • Bachelor of Science or higher in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Experience in FPGA and/or ASIC device verification
  • HDL programming experience (VHDL, Verilog, SystemVerilog)
  • Ability to devise unique verification plans
  • Ability to use SystemVerilog and UVM in a Linux-based high-performance computing environment
  • Ability to document verification plans and results
  • Ability to support technical reviews and present to customers

  • Demonstrated experience in ASIC / FPGA life cycle (architecture, design, simulation, verification, validation, integration & test)
  • Knowledge of space-grade/qualified FPGAs and ASICs and toolsets (AMD/Xilinx Vivado, Microchip Libero)

What does this role look like?

The Silicon Solutions team of Space is building the best ASIC/FPGA team in the world, and are seeking a highly talented and motivated ASIC & FPGA Verification Engineer who has a passion for microchip design and space.

Key activities you will accomplish in this role:

• Support other aspects of ASIC and FPGA development such as architecture, design, analysis, and test.

• Support technical reviews and be able to present to internal and external customers

• Devise a unique verification plan for a given design.

• Use SystemVerilog and Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) to verify a design in a Linux-based high-performance computing environment.

• Document verification plan and results.

• Work with an independent verification team to resolve bugs found in the design.

• Support other aspects of ASIC and FPGA development such as architecture, design, analysis, and test.

• Support technical reviews and be able to present to internal and external customers

To be effective in this role, you will need:

• ASIC/FPGA verification experience with modern verification methodologies such as UVM, OVM or VMM.

• 3+ years professional experience.

• While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.

• Experience in the verification of FPGA and/or ASIC devices.

• Experience with modern verification methodologies such as UVM, OVM or VMM.

• HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or SystemVerilog.

Desired Skills:

• Demonstrated experience in ASIC / FPGA life cycle (architecture, design, simulation, verification, validation, integration & test).

• Knowledge of space-grade/qualified FPGAs and ASICs and toolsets including AMD/Xilinx Vivado or Microchip Libero.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated facility.

Work Schedules: supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $101,000 - $178,135. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
