WPI Athletics is seeking part-time assistant coaches for its various varsity sport teams. The primary duty is to assist the head coach in providing leadership and direction for all aspects of the varsity sport program, including ensuring compliance with NCAA rules and university policies. The role involves maintaining positive public relations, serving as a role model for student-athletes, and preparing them for competition while fostering their overall development. JOB DESCRIPTION
Primary duty is to assist the head coach in providing leadership and direction for all aspects of the varsity sport program including creating a culture of compliance with NCAA rules and regulations as well as WPI university policies and procedures. This includes maintaining positive public relations for the program, the department and WPI, while serving as a role model for student-athletes in and out of competition. Assist in the preparation of student-athletes for competition while providing an educational environment that enhances the development of the whole student-athlete. We encourage a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all areas of responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Collegiate coaching experience preferred
- CPR/First Aid/EAD certification preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
