AHRC New York City is seeking Residential Managers for their Brooklyn Group Home residences. The role involves overseeing the smooth operation of the residence, ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations, supervising direct support staff, and collaborating with the management team on service planning for residents. This position requires experience with intellectual and developmental disabilities and knowledge of OPWDD regulations.

Must Have

  • Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)
  • Knowledge of OPWDD regulations
  • Valid NYS or Tri-state driver's license for more than one year
  • Must be willing to work flexible schedule including one day of each weekend
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Good to Have

  • Experience as a supervisor in a residential setting
  • Bachelors Preferred

Job Description

AHRC NYC is currently seeking Residential Managers (RM) for their Brooklyn Group Home residences.

Position Description:

  • Assumes overall responsibilities for the smooth operation of the residence.
  • Ensures ongoing compliance and quality assurance with State and Federal regulations pertinent to the operation of the residence to which he/she is assigned.
  • Provides direct supervision of direct support staff assigned to the residence under his/her jurisdiction.
  • Collaborates with the management team to create a program of services for each resident, and assigns the tasks of each member of the direct support team.
  • Participates in comprehensive service planning activities with outside agencies for each resident under his/her jurisdiction.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) Required.
  • Experience as a supervisor in a residential setting Preferred.
  • Knowledge of OPWDD regulations Required.
