Job Summary
The Associate Technical Field Engineer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing desktops, laptops, monitors, and associated software and peripherals. This role involves assisting with product maintenance, performing low-complexity installations, moves, adds, and changes, and supporting network, server, device, and application testing. The engineer must ensure client satisfaction, meet service level agreements, update tickets, and adhere to documented procedures.
Must Have
- Install, maintain, and repair desktops, laptops, monitors, software, and peripherals.
- Assist with maintenance on products and devices.
- Perform low-complexity installs, moves, adds, and changes on various equipment.
- Assist with network, server, device, and application testing and certification.
- Ensure client satisfaction and meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- Update incident and request tickets within the ticketing system.
- Follow specific procedures and complete certification requirements.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Less than 1 year of experience in the area of responsibility.
Job Description
What success looks like in this role:
- Gains familiarity with Field Engineering practices and procedures.
- With guidance or by following a pre-determined / documented process performs the following:
- Installing, maintaining and repairing desktops, laptops and monitors and associated software and peripherals
- Assisting with maintenance on products and devices,
- Performing low-complexity installs, moves, adds and changes on various equipment and devices, and
- Assisting with network, server, device and application testing and certification.
- Ensures client satisfaction throughout service delivery transactions.
- Ensures service level agreements (SLAs) are met and incident and request tickets are updated as required within the ticketing system.
- Follows specific procedures outlined and completes certification requirements.
- Assists with special projects as assigned.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
High School diploma or GED required
Generally, less than 1 years’ experience in area of responsibility
This role may require access to export-controlled commodities and technology. Therefore, to conform to U.S. export control regulations, applicant should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.
