Job Description

Ziff Davis Shopping helps millions of shoppers discover and save, delivering exceptional consumer and merchant-advertiser experiences. We are looking for a high-energy, detailed Associate Account Director to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring new retail and brand customers, managing merchant partners, collaborating with networks and agencies, and assisting in media plan development. This is a key selling opportunity to drive new account growth and partner with brands across various merchant verticals, building strong relationships and ensuring client success.
Must Have:
  • Build relationships with Ziff Davis Shopping customers
  • Understand & effectively communicate product value
  • Summarize and present benefits of strategic partnership
  • Achieve quarterly revenue and business line targets
  • Prospect for new business relationships
  • Manage complete sales cycle process for assigned accounts
  • Forecast & track activity within Salesforce & other CRM tools
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Ziff Davis Shopping teams
  • 1-2 years experience in online performance marketing sales, media sales, account management or business development
  • Experience owning quota for a book of business
  • Proven track record of hitting sales targets & goals
  • Experience in retail/merchant B2C e-commerce or digital advertising
  • Strong knowledge of online advertising/e-commerce/offline commerce
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM software
  • Ability to develop and execute business development plans
  • Ability to develop and deliver client-ready presentations
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, advertising, liberal arts or communications

Ziff Davis Shopping is looking for a high-energy, detailed Associate Account Director to join our dynamic team.

In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring new retail and brand customers, manage an assigned book of merchant partners, partner with networks and agencies to ensure overall success of client goals, and assist in the development of media plans to meet client’s needs.

This is an excellent selling opportunity for you to help drive new account growth and collaborate with brands across a wide swath of merchant verticals. A successful Associate Account Director will build relationships cross functionally, will live the Ziff Davis Shopping core values, and have a real passion for client success!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with Ziff Davis Shopping customers within assigned book of business
  • Understand & effectively communicate the value of our products & services
  • Summarize and present benefits of strategic partnership & marketing initiatives to merchants
  • Achieve quarterly revenue and business line targets
  • Prospect for new business relationships
  • Manage complete sales cycle process for all assigned accounts within your assigned book of business
  • Forecast & track activity within Salesforce & other CRM tools
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Ziff Davis Shopping teams to provide product & competitive insights as well as achieve goals for your assigned book of business

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience required in online performance marketing sales, media sales, account management or business development
  • Experience in owning quota for a book of business
  • Proven track record of success in hitting sales targets & goals
  • Experience in the retail/ merchant B2C e-commerce sectors or digital advertising sectors
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in online advertising/ e-commerce/ offline commerce
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM software
  • Able to develop and execute business development plans that will achieve revenue targets
  • Exceptional ability to develop and deliver client ready presentations
  • Self-motivated and enjoy working in a dynamic and results driven environment
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to use market knowledge and partner feedback to improve product and service offerings
  • Polished, engaging and persuasive communicator that is comfortable presenting at the VP level & higher
  • Structured problem solver with excellent quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Willingness to work in a team environment & lead attainment of quarterly goals and objectives
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, advertising, liberal arts or communications from a four-year college or university

Compensation Range

Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The salary compensation for this role is $50,000 to $60,000. Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education and training, as well as business and company performance.
