As an Associate Producer at Ubi QC, you will be responsible for the development of a specific part of a game. Depending on the production strategy and the organizational structure of the project, your part could be an element such as animation, level design, gameplay, the world, or a combination of several.

In short, you will guide one or many multidisciplinary teams to bring the portion entrusted to you to life, from start to finish. You will combine well-designed work processes with clear expectations so that your team members do their best work and optimize their talents.

Through careful planning, monitoring, and supervision, you will maintain the pace of development, ensuring that time is spent on the right things, then adapting as needed.

While pushing production capacity and quality, you will ensure that your team is ready and able to deliver their part of the game on time and in a welcoming environment.

What you will do

  • Work in partnership with the management team to understand the overall vision and requirements of the game + communicate them to the entire production.
  • Define the scope of your specific domain: determine its deliverables, quality objectives, and key milestones & establish its development strategies and budgets.
  • Set everything up to prepare for production: develop workflows and pipelines + implement ways to facilitate interaction between colleagues.
  • Set clear objectives for your team members to achieve + ensure that the process of achieving these objectives is as smooth as possible.
  • Anticipate risks and implement action plans to overcome them.
  • Meet with your team to clarify milestones, prioritize deliverables, check in, address concerns, provide guidance, gather feedback, etc.
  • Synchronize with the producer, production director, and production managers on progress and momentum + track budgets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and evolve our processes, methods, and practices.
  • Participate in recruitment to build your team + foster their professional development and career progression.

Qualifications

What you bring to the team

  • 7+ years of experience in production or project management in the video game industry.
  • Great flexibility to adapt to a variety of situations & manage interdependencies.
  • Familiarity with various project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • An attentive, collaborative, and innovative spirit.
