Associate Producer

Univision Network News is looking for an Associate Producer to support Primer Impacto. This position supports the development and execution of graphics for live programs and pre-production. In this role you will work closely with producers, reporters, and control room to ensure flawless execution of on-air product.

Editorial contribution is also an essential part of the position.

YOUR DAY-DAY:

• Manage the creation and implementation of graphics for broadcast and development of the shows’s graphics for live coverage and packages.
• Wall Graphics/Live Scenes, Touch Screens
• Meet with producers and assignment desk about graphics needed
• Design based on titles or themes selected for walls, video walls/gather elements for graphics Ex. Photos, videos, etc.
• Meet with art department
• Enter VME requests for graphics
• Coordinate live wall scenes and special graphics
• Follow through with art department to make sure graphics are done
• If needed - pre-record in control room graphics with anchor. Coordinate with anchor, editor and send Media Pulse request.
• Go early to control room and test every single graphic. Make sure they work with all continuous and check spelling.
• Work with the producers and art department to facilitate graphics compelling coverage of news and topical events.

YOU HAVE:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Broadcast Communications or Journalism.
• Minimum 2 years control room experience for a live broadcast.
• Good news judgment, fully bilingual (verbal and written)
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
• Must have working knowledge of VizRT platform, VME and INews
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
• Excellent Spanish grammar
