Job Description

The Associate Regulatory Counsel, Competition will join a global team providing subject matter expertise and engaging with regulators to address competition law in a changing economy. Responsibilities include interpreting laws, mitigating risk by partnering with internal stakeholders, and communicating compliance externally. This role requires providing legal advice on compliance programs, managing government discussions, and ensuring products comply with laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills, time management abilities, and experience working with technology companies. The position involves collaboration with Compliance, Business, Product, and Engineering teams.

Minimum qualifications:

  • JD, LL.B., equivalent degree, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience with legal, regulatory or corporate compliance, including addressing, minimizing and avoiding regulatory risk.
  • 3 years of attorney-level experience in government, in-house, or at a law firm.
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing or otherwise authorized to practice law (e.g., have registered in-house status) in the state in which the position is located.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience developing, evaluating, and maintaining programs that ensure products comply with laws, regulations, and external commitments.
  • Experience with working with public company boards and their counsel, including special committees and audit committees.
  • Experience engaging with regulators, including states and global antitrust authorities.
  • Experience managing projects and partnering effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience working with technology companies with the ability to understand complex technical issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, time management and investigative skills.

As an Associate Regulatory Counsel, you will join a Global team that provides subject matter expertise and engages with regulators, academics, and others to consider the role of competition law in the our changing economy, the development of new technology, and passage of new laws and regulations. The role involves interpreting laws, partnering with internal stakeholders across the company to mitigate risk, and helping communicate our compliance externally.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $195,000-$293,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
